food safety education requires basic training in safe food handling practices, preparation and storage of foods. Graduates from educational institutions are likely to become stakeholders in influential sectors of society, such as the health sector and food industry. Objectives: To asses extent the awareness of secondary girl students for dietary habits and food safety, physical activity and to assess the adolescent females, perception of body image. Method: A cross sectional study was carried out to assess the awareness of high school students to dietary habits and food safety. This survey was conducted within 200 students at Second Secondary school for girls at Khamis Mushayt on 5 April 2015. A questionnaire form was constructed that consisted of two categories of questions; the first category is on food safety and behavior in health practices while the second category is on eating habits. Result: Our study showed that students in this study had some bad eating habits including 47% drinking tea or Cappuccino during breakfast every day, while 43% reported that they drinking Soft drinks between meals. Amongechecking the expiration date before buying canned foods, 34.5% of students reported that they never check the expiration date. 12,5% of students always reading instructions of the canned foods and 73,5% washing fruits before eating. 40% of students reported that they removing far the milk it is left out the refrigerator, and 49.5% of the students reported that they never eating meat after the butcher holed it without gloves. RECOMMENDATIONS: School girls should be taught as this stage of the life how to live a healthy lifestyle, to avoid so many health problems. School curricula should include the needed information and guidelines for a healthy dietary habits. They should be provided with the adequate information about appropriate weight. The role of parents as role modeling in following a healthy lifestyle, should be stressed upon through messages of the mass media.
