|f The study of memory has been an important topic in the field of neuropsychology. Particularly, the study of autobiographical memory is getting more interest, as the autobiographical memory is long-term. It is a complex system whose name is still debated. The ambiguity in the names between episodic memory and autobiographical memory is what distinguishes the cognitive models that interpret autobiographical memory, along with the controversy surrounding the brain areas that support them.\nThis article deals with the subject of autobiographical memory, addressing its definition, descriptive cognitive models, supportive neurological structures, disorders, as well as the methods of its evaluation, along with a case presentation.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2020

|d L’étude de la mémoire est un sujet important dans le domaine de la neuropsychologie, et l’étude de la mémoire autobiographique en particulier reçoit une attention croissante. La mémoire autobiographique est une mémoire à long terme, un système complexe dont le nom fait toujours l’objet d’une controverse, entre mémoire épisodique et mémoire autobiographique, c’est ce qui caractérise les modèles cognitifs qui tentent d’expliquer la mémoire autobiographique, ainsi qu’un débat sur les régions cérébrales qui la sous tendent.\nCet article aborde le sujet de la mémoire autobiographique, dans lequel nous nous référons à sa définition, ses modèles cognitifs explicatifs, les structures cérébrales qui la sous tend, ses troubles ainsi que ses méthodes d’évaluation, de plus, présentation d’un cas.
