المستخلص: Since the inception and development of the trade union movement in Algeria, the frame of reference has been the struggle and fight for equality against racial discrimination, the distinction between Algerian and European workers and the defense of the material and moral interests of workers. The colonial existence made the trade union struggle — despite its organic association with the French union — in a close relationship with the patriotic movement and against the colonial regime, until 1956, where an independent Algerian union came into existence against the French union, which was active in trade union work and the war of liberation, and after independence it worked for national tasks under the guardianship of the party and the state, in taking and responding with the working class until 1990 and the emergence of union pluralism.

إن الإطار المرجعي منذ نشوء وتطور الحركة النقابية في الجزائر هو النضال من أجل المساواة وضد التمييز العنصري والتفرقة بين العمال الجزائريين والأوروبيين والدفاع عن المصالح المادية والمعنوية للعمال.
إن الوجود الاستعماري جعل من النضال النقابي_ رغم ارتباطه العضوي بالنقابة الفرنسية_ في علاقة وطيدة بالحركة الوطنية وضد النظام الكولونيالي، إلى سنة 1956 حيث نشأت نقابة جزائرية مستقلة عن النقابة الفرنسية، نشطت في العمل النقابي وحرب التحرير، وبعد الاستقلال عملت من أجل المهام الوطنية تحت وصاية الحزب والدولة، في أخذ ورد مع الطبقة العاملة إلى سنة 1990 وظهور التعددية النقابية.


Depuis sa formation, le mouvement syndical Algérien a milité pour l’égalité entre les travailleurs Algérien et Européens, et la défense des intérêts matériels et moraux de tous les travailleurs et contre le racisme.
La lutte syndicale en Algérie dans le contexte colonial a été inséparable de la lutte pour la cause nationale et contre le colonialisme.
L’U.G.T.A. a jouée un rôle effectif dans la vie économique et politique pendant la guerre de libération sous l’égide du F.L.N., et depuis 1962 elle vit en crise, jusqu’à 1990 et la formation de nouvel syndicats autonomes.
