|a تحاول هذه المقالة أن تقارب مفهوم الشعر وتستجلي ماهيته ووظيفته وأداته كما وعاها الشعراء، وذلك في فترة من أخصب فترات ازدهار شعرنا القديم، بداية من النصف الثاني من القرن الثاني وانتهاء بأبي العلاء في القرن في منتصف الخامس الهجري... وهي فترة عرفت تحولات كبيرة في مفهوم الشعر. وكان ذلك – بلا شك – نتيجة تثاقف حضاري جديد، فتح للشعر العربي نافذة واسعة، راجع من خلالها الشعراء تراثهم وتقاليدهم الشعرية، وقدموا تصورهم الجديد، وذلك في نقلة حضارية قدمت العقل على النقل، والإبداع على الاتباع، فأنتج ذلك وعيا بالشعر يمكننا وصفه بالوعي المفارق للتراث القديم، أو بالوعي القادر على الانتقال بهذا الإرث من أفق البساطة والعفوية إلى أفق أكثر تركيبا وتعقيدا.

|b This article attempts to approach the concept of poetry and explore what it is, its function and its tools, as poets understood it. This is a period in which our old poetry flourished, from the second half of the second century to Abu Ala in the middle of the fifth century AH ... a period of great transformation in the concept of poetry. This was - undoubtedly - the result of a new cultural Cultivation, opened a wide window for Arabic poetry, through which poets reviewed their heritage and poetic traditions, and presented their new vision, in a cultural transformation presented the mind in the opposite of Inertia, This produced an awareness of poetry that can be described as a new consciousness of the ancient heritage, or an awareness that is able to move this heritage from the horizon of simplicity and spontaneity to a more complex and complex horizon.
