المستخلص: This study examined the evaluation of the strategic behavior of small and medium-sized family enterprises in Algeria and the impact of the strategic behavior on their financial performance using structural equations method. The study was examined the relationship between the strategy and the financial performance of the Algerian small and medium-sized enterprises and the results showed that a number of variables are statistical significance, these variables have great importance the financial performance of family small and medium-sized enterprises in Algeria. and the results of the study showed also the tendency of family enterprises to adopt the defensive strategy. As this strategy calls for stability and is interested in the current market, and trying to maintain existing customers, this corresponds to the desire of the entrepreneur in the family enterprises ،which attaches great importance to the continuity of its activities. While non-family enterprises tend to rely on an analytical strategy where they remain very keen before entering into new business and must ensure their profitability while ensuring their ability to maintain their current market share, this is consistent with the desire of the manager in this type of enterprises to focus on achieving profit and rapid growth.
