Abstract: وقفت الدراسة عند الأزمة التي تعتمل في المجتمع الجزائريّ، منذ حرب التحرير حتى هذه الأيام، وتجليّاتها السياسيّة والثقافيّة، كما انعكست في رواية الكاتب الجزائري واسيني الأعرج "ذاكرة الماء". وسلّطت الضوء على الخطاب السياسيّ الذي تهتدي به كلّ من السلطة والمعارضة في ممارساتها، وعلى بعض التقنيّات والظواهر الفنيّة التي استخدمها الكاتب في التعبير عمّا يدور في الواقع الجزائري، لعلّ من أبرزها التذكّر والمفارقة والبوح بالصوت العالي. وكشفت عن فضاء الرواية الذي يحتلّه الموت، وعن أزمة المجتمع التي نجمت عن غياب الوعي والثقافة بسبب تغييب المثقفين الجادّين، وعن الجنون الذي أصاب العقل الجزائري، وعن القوى التي تستّرت بالإسلام فأساءت إليه وكفرت بدم الشهداء والماضي المشرق، من خلال صرخات الكاتب واستغاثاته وتساؤلاته من موقد النار، ملقياً بمسؤولية وقف التدمير وبناء الحياة على العقل الجزائريّ.

This is a study of the Algerian writers’ " Waseeni AL-A’araj " novel “Thakerat AL-Ma’a" which spotlights some of the artistic techniques which were manipulated by the writer to express what is really going on in Algeria , since the liberation war until nowadays , most importantly is the remembrance and the revealing in a loud voice. It reveals the space of the novel in which death occupies a good place, and the community crisis which has crystallized in the shape of a crisis of culture and intellectuals, more over, it talks about the madness that swept the Algerian minds and those powers that took Islam as a disguise but tarnished its name and disgraced the blood of martyrs. The hope of the writer was embodied in the study through his calls and exclamations. He puts the responsibility on the Algerian mind to stop destruction and start construction a new life.
