المستخلص: This work sheds light on the contrasting characterization of heroine of Leila Slimani’s novel. Through thematic and psychoanalytic approaches, this paper brings out recurrent themes on which is built the antithetical representation of the novel’s heroine and henceforth, apprehends through writing, the female author’s unconsciousness. Focusing on psychical conflict, the psychoanalytic approach explores the heroine’s (Louise) states of mind. The analysis highlights her ambivalent image and, explains the modus operandi of the murder she has committed. Insight into particularities of novelistic aestheticism reveals in Leila Slimani an innovative writing of feminism. The contrasting poetry through which the heroin’s criminal character is disclosed shines light on the female author’s obsession.

Le présent travail démontre la caractérisation contrastée de l’héroïne romanesque chez Leila Slimani. En partant des approches thématique et psychanalytique, l’article inventorie les thèmes récurrents à partir desquels se construit la représentation antithétique de l’héroïne romanesque et par conséquent, saisit par le biais de l’écriture, l’inconscient de l’auteure. En prenant appui sur le conflit psychique, l’approche psychanalytique explore les états de conscience de l’héroïne, Louise. L’analyse en vient à démontrer l’image ambivalente de l’héroïne et explique l’accomplissement de l’assassinat par l’héroïne. La réflexion autour des particularités de l’esthétique romanesque relève chez Leila Slimani une écriture novatrice du féminisme. En clair, la poétique du contraste par laquelle se dévoile la figure de l’héroïne criminelle renseigne sur l’obsession de l’auteure.
