المستخلص: لقد أصبحت المصطلحات، في خضم التطور العلمي والتقني الحاصل، تكتسي أهمية كبرى كأداة أساسية لنشر المعرفة في المجتمع، وكأس للتواصل السليم والفعال بين أفراد هذا المجتمع. ولكي تؤدي المصطلحات هذه الوظيفة على أحسن وجه، وجب عليها أن تستوفي شرط الاستعمال أو القابلية للاستعمال. تسعى دراستنا هذه إلى البحث في المقاربة المصطلحية الاجتماعية عن آليات وإجراءات أساسية لتوجيه العمل المصطلحي نحو وضع مصطلحات قابلة للاستعمال. ولذلك، فهي تلقي بادئ ذي بدء نظرة نقدية على مسار العمل المصطلحي التخطيطي من خلال فحص منزلة المصطلحات في السياسات اللغوية، وتخوض بعد ذلك في حقل المقاربة المصطلحية الاجتماعية للتعريف بمفهومها ووظائفها المختلفة، وكذا مجموعة الأسس التي تقوم عليها التهيئة المصطلحية في إطارها، ويسلط بحثنا في الأخير الضوء على شروط انغراس المصطلحات في الاستعمال من منظور هذه المقاربة.

In the midst of the scientific and technological development, terms have become of great importance as an essential tool for communicating and disseminating knowledge in society. To do so, they have to meet a principal condition; that of being used or usable. This paper aims to search in socio terminology fundamental mechanisms and measures to guide the terminological work towards the creation of usable terms. Therefore, it first of all takes a critical look at the terminology planning process by examinating the status of terminology in language policies. It then explores the socio-terminological approach to make known its definition and various functions, as well as the set of foundations on which is based the terminology management within it. Our study will finally highlight the conditions of terms implantation in use according to this approach.

Au sein de l’actuel développement scientifique et technologique, les termes ont acquis une importance grandiose en tant qu'outil essentiel pour la communication et la diffusion des connaissances dans la société. Pour mener à bien ces tâches, ils doivent remplir une condition essentielle: celle d'être utilisés ou utilisables. Le présent article a pour objectif de rechercher dans la socio-terminologie des mécanismes et mesures fondamentales à même d'orienter le travail terminologique vers la création de termes utilisables. Pour ce faire, il tente tout d'abord de jeter un regard critique sur le processus de planification terminologique en examinant le statut de la terminologie dans les politiques linguistiques. Il explore ensuite l’approche socio-terminologique pour en faire connaître la définition, les différentes fonctions, ainsi que l’ensemble les fondements sur lesquels repose l’aménagement terminologique. Notre étude mettra enfin en évidence les conditions sine qua non pour l’implantation des termes selon cette approche.
