المستخلص: تناولت هذه الدراسة (مصطلح حاطب ليل، عند المحدثين)، وهو من مصطلحات أهل الجرح والتعديل، وقد ذكره المحدثون، وأكثروا من استعماله.. ومن خلال ورود هذا المصطلح في جرح الرواة، يستدل به على ضعف الراوي، وأنهم لم يثقوا في حديثه فهو جرح شديد، ولا يخرجون عن حيز الضعف، لكن حمله على معنى أنه متروك أو ضعيف هو الأكثر والأشهر، إلا إذا وجدت قرينة تصرف حكم الضعف، إلى غيره، مثل كلام الأقران، في بعضهم، ونحوه. وجاءت هذه الدراسة من مقدمة وتشتمل الدراسات السابقة، وأسباب اختيار الموضوع ومنهجي في البحث، ثم قسمته إلى مبحثين: المبحث الأول: الكلام على مصطلح (حاطب ليل) وفيه مطلبان، المطلب الأول: بيان معنى هذا المصطلح لغة واصطلاحا، والمطلب الثاني: استعمال العلماء لهذا المصطلح، والمبحث الثاني: الرواة الذين ذكر فيهم مصطلح (حاطب ليل)، وفيه مطلبان: المطلب الأول: دراسة تراجم من قيل فيهم (حاطب ليل) المطلب الثاني: دلالة هذا اللفظ عند المحدثين، ثم الخاتمة واشتملت على أهم النتائج والتوصيات.

This study dealt with (term Hateb Lail ،when modern), which is one of the terms of the people of the wound and amendment ،has been mentioned by modernists ،and more than used.. Through the receipt of this term in the wounds of narrators ،inferred by the weakness of the narrator ،and they did not trust in his speech is a wound Severe ،and do not go out of the area of weakness ،but to carry it on the meaning that it is left or weak is the most and months, unless there is a presumption of the rule of weakness ،to others, such as the words of peers ،in some ،and so on. This study came from the introduction and includes previous studies ،and the reasons for the selection of the topic and methodology in the research ،and then divided it into two topics: The first topic: speech on the term (Hateb Lille) and two requirements ،the first requirement: the statement of the meaning of this term language and terminology ،and the second requirement: the use of scientists for this The term and the second topic: the narrators who mentioned the term (Hateb Laile) ،and the two requirements: The first requirement: the study of translations of those said (Hateb Lail) The second requirement: the significance of this term when modern ،and then the conclusion and included the most important findings and recommendations
