المستخلص: La pratique de l’acte définitoire repose sur une connaitre parfaite de la maitrise de la présentation de l'information la plus adéquate et sa mise en évidence dans l’acte définitoire. Le terminologue puise cette information dans des textes spécialisés, dans des travaux d’experts et surtout dans des dictionnaires de la spécialité. Les dictionnaires spécialisés demeurent, néanmoins, les outils les mieux indiqués dans la production des définitions pour répondre aux besoins des personnes intéressées et concernées (public cible). Par ailleurs, il importe de souligner que la production de définitions qualitatives exige le respect d'un certain nombre de principes de rédaction, tels que la prise en compte de critères (le nombre et l'ordre des composants) et du contenu approprié pour assurer une communication pertinente.

تستند ممارسة الفعل التعريفي إلى معرفة كاملة بالسيطرة على تقديم اكثر المعلومات ملائمة وإبرازها في العمل التعريفي. يستخلص عالم المصطلحات هذه المعلومات من النصوص المتخصصة، من العمل الخبير وخاصة من قواميس التخصص. ومع ذلك، لا تزال القواميس المتخصصة هي أنسب الأدوات في وضع التعريفات لتلبية احتياجات الأفراد المهتمين والمعنيين (الجمهور المستهدف). بالإضافة إلى ذلك، من المهم التأكيد على أن إنتاج التعريفات النوعية يتطلب احترام عدد معين من مبادئ الصياغة، مثل النظر في المعايير (عدد وترتيب المكونات) والمحتوى المناسب لضمان تواصل مناسب.

The practice of the definitional act rests on a perfect noledge of the mastery of the presentation of the most adequate information and it's highlighting in the definitional act. The terminologist draws this information from specialized texts, from expert work and especially from dictionaries of the specialty. Specialized dictionaries remain, however, the most appropriate tools in producing definitions to meet the needs of interested and concerned individuals (target audience). In addition, it is important to emphasize that the production of qualitative definitions requires the respect of a certain number of drafting principles, such as the consideration of criteria (the number and order of components) and the content appropriate to ensure relevant communication.
