|a لم يحظ أثر التلفزيون على المجتمع ككل وعلى الطفل خاصةً بالاهتمام الكافي بحثياً، وعلى الرغم من تعدد جوانب هذا الأثر فمنها الاجتماعي والتربوي والتعليمي والصحي، لكن الدراسات السابقة لم تصل إلى يومنا هذا إلى اتفاق بشأن طبيعتها وما يمكن أن تحدثه من آثار على الفرد، كذلك لم يخضع أثر التلفزيون على عملية التنشئة الاجتماعية للطفل بعد للبحث والتحليل والتمحيص المناسب لحجم هذا الأثر. الهدف الرئيس من هذا البحث هو تقديم فهم غني للآثار التي أحدثها التلفزيون على عملية التنشئة الاجتماعية للطفل، ويعتمد البحث على المنهج الوصفي الذي يهدف إلى تحقيق الفهم الصحيح لواقع ما من خلال توصيف المادة العلمية بعد جمعها من مصادرها المتعددة مثل الكتب والدوريات والدراسات والأبحاث ذات الصلة بموضوع البحث الحالي. تشير نتائج البحث إلى أن للتلفزيون آثار كثيرة على عملية التنشئة الاجتماعية للطفل، من أهمها الأطفال وتسليتهم وتعليمهم القيم الاجتماعية والدينية والسلوك الحسن وتوعيتهم بالعالم الخارجي، مع ذلك فإن احتمال حدوث آثار سلبية للتلفزيون على عملية التنشئة الاجتماعية للطفل كالانحراف والمشكلات السلوكية والنفسية يزداد في حالة غياب متابعة الوالدين لما يُقدم للطفل عبر هذه الشاشة من محتويات متنوعة. كما قدم البحث جملة من التوصيات في هذا الشأن، أهمها توعية الآباء والأمهات بدورهم المهم والحاسم في حماية أبنائهم من مخاطر التعرض عبر شاشة التلفزيون لمحتويات إعلامية لا تتناسب ومرحلتهم العمرية أو تتناقض مع قيم المجتمع وسلوكياته وتعاليم الدين.

|b The effect of television on society as a whole, and particularly on children, has not gain sufficient research attention, and despite that, this effect has many aspects, including social, educational, and health aspects. However, previous studies have not yet reached an agreement on their nature and what impacts that can have on individuals. In addition, the effect of television on socialization process of children has not yet been properly researched, analyzed and examined. The key aim of this research is to provide an enriched understanding of the effects of television on the socialization process of children, the research utilized a descriptive approach, through describing scientific material after collecting them from multiple sources such as books, journals, and studies related to the subject of the current research. The research results indicate that, television has many positive effects on the socialization process of children, the most important positive effects are entertainment, educating children social and religious values and appropriate behavior, and granting them awareness of outside world. However, the likelihood of incidence negative effects of television such as deviation and behavioral and psychological problems can be increased when there is parents' lack of monitoring on various contents presented to their children through this screen. The research also provides a number of recommendations, the most important is to warning and educate parents regarding their important and crucial role in protecting their children from the dangers of being exposed to media contents that are not suitable to their age stage or contradict with values and behaviors of their society and religion.
