المستخلص: This is a field research that was done in the of Sulaymaniyah city. It is about emotional and social impact of rule number six of 2112, on a child who lives with one of their separated parents. The main goal of this study is to show the positive and negative impact of the rule, opinion of the separated parents based on their (sex, age, education level, and income) and the impact of a parent remarrying on the child. To conduct this research a descriptive method, the researcher used a questioner form, meeting and observing as a tool of collecting information used in this research. The sample taken for this research were targeted forty-five separated parents, currently under rule number six . The result of the study shows, that this rule has a negative impact on a child and less positive impacts which is not in the interest of the child. Fear, aggressiveness, and snitching are the top of the list of negative social impact on the children. Also, disappointment, low self-esteem, running away, and careless are showing less impact on the children . Based on the differences in sex, age, income, level of education, and political views. All the separated parents, agree that the law has more negative impact compared to the positive impact. The research if the child stays with one of the remarried parent for more than twenty-four hours, the child faces more issues.
