المستخلص: تنطلق الترجمة عند التوحيدي من أنها فعل معرفي ضروري يقوم على عملية نقل معاني نص من النصوص بما يعادلها في اللغة المترجم إليها بقصد الإفادة من خبرات الأمم الأخرى في جوانب مخصوصة بقصد تثبيت كيانها وإثراء تجربتها في مشروع ثقافي قام عنده على الإحساس بركنين مهمين: الأول: الخصوصية التي تميز أمة من الأمم على وفق خصائصها النوعية. الثاني: ضرورة تفاعل الذات مع الآخر وضخ دماء جديدة للذات مما عند الغير. وتعد الترجمة إحدى الوسائل المهمة لتحقيق ما سبق، فاللغة لا تقف عائقا أمام انتقال الأفكار. وتتحدد وظيفة الترجمة عند التوحيدي بغايتين: الأولى: الحاجة وقامت عنده على الاحتفاء بالفكر اليوناني وضرورة ترجمة الحكمة اليونانية إلى جانب حكمة العرب لما لها من فائدة ومتعة وتأثير مضاف في الحدث على كمال النفس الإنسانية. الثانية: بلاغية وتبدو الترجمة فيها صعبة المنال في بعض الأحايين، لأنها خاضعة لأعراف جديدة تحكمها طبيعة النصوص الأدبية الخاصة، فبعض النصوص النثرية تبقى عصية على الترجمة وليس الشعر فحسب مثلما قال الجاحظ لخصوصية معانيها التي تصبح بعد ترجمتها إزاء متلقين لم يكتب لهم، وهذا يشكل خلخلة للأعراف الفنية التي كتب بها أصلا.

Translation with Altawhidy starts from it's being a necessary informatable Act that does the operation of translating the meanings of a script from the scripts to what equals it in the language translated to with the purpose of benefitting from the experience of the other nations in the specific sides with the purpose of fixing its entity and enriching its experience in a cultural project in which the sensing rose with two important objects: First: The privacy which specialize a nation from other nations according to its quality characteristics. Second : The importance of the interaction of oneself with the other and pumping new blood to the self than with the others And translating is considered one of the important means to achieve all of the above, As language doesn't come as an obstacle in the path of transition of thoughts. The function of Translation with Altawhidy is defined with two goals: First: The need and it has been celebrating the Greek intellect and the necessity of translating The Greek Wisdom along with The Arabic wisdom for what it has of interest and enjoyment and the added effect in encouraging the perfection of the human self. Second: Rhetorical and Translation looks in it elusive sometimes, because it is subjected to new customs that is rolled by the nature of special literature scripts, As some prose scripts stay extremely difficult to translate and not only poetry like Al-Jahith said for the specialty of its meanings which becomes after being translated to receptionists who were not written for, and that forms a rarefaction in the Art customs that it has been written for in the first place.
