The research aims identify the effect of the strategies of random excitement and the gardens of ideas in teaching the home economy on the development of obstetric thinking among second grade students. The sample consisted of (90) students of the second grade preparatory school, at El Raml Preparatory School in Alexandria, divided into three groups each group (30 students) The first experimental group (which was studied using the random Excitement strategy, and the second experimental group), which was studied according to the strategy of the ideas gardens and the third group (the control group), which was studied in the usual way. After application of the experiment, it was applied later to the groups and the results were greater than the first and second experimental groups on the control group. The researcher recommended the need to adopt and employ the strategy of random excitement, and the strategy of ideas gardens in the teaching of home economics courses for the preparatory stage, where they help in activating the processes of teaching and learning.
