In a difficult economic context, Algeria opted for the economic revival of the non-hydrocarbon sector through a series of reforms for the promotion of SMEs which represent one of the main forces of economic development because of their contribution to job creation and wealth. Our article aims to show the reality of the contribution of SMEs to the economic development of our country. The analysis of the contribution of Algerian SMEs, show that these SMEs really contribute to job creation and economic development, but they have a limited degree of integration and remain underdeveloped due to multiple constraints and structural handicaps that weigh on their development.
