هدفت الدراسة إلى وضع تصور مقترح لجامعة بحثية مصرية على ضوء خبرة معهد ماساشوستس للتكنولوجيا وجامعة كيب تاون، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج المقارن، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة والاجابة عن أسئلتها تم عرض إطار نظري تضمن مل يلي: -تحليل للجامعات البحثية؛ أهدافها، أهميتها: مقومات نجاحها، قيم وخصائص الجامعات البحثية، مبررات التوجه للجامعات البحثية، العملية التعليمية بها،. مصادر التمويل، معوقات الجامعات البحثية. - عرض لخبرة كل من معهد ماساتشوستس للتكنولوجيا وجامعة كيب تاون، ثم تحليل مقارن لخبرتيهما. - وتوصلت الدراسة لمجموعة من النتائج، منها: يحتل معهد ماساتشوستس للتكنولوجيا صدارة جامعات العالم وفقا لتصنيف QS)) كجامعة بحثية متميزة، يسعى لزيادة مخرجاته البعثية، والمساهمة في تقدم المجتمع المحلي والعالمي، ويمتلك إنتاجا ملموسا له أثره الجيد في المجتمع الأمريكي والعالمي، وتحتل جامعة كيب تاون صدارة الجامعات الأفريقية كجامعة بحثية حكومية، كما تحافظ على تصنيفها من أفضل ٢٠٠ جامعة على مستوى العالم، وهي من الجامعات الناضجة بحثيا؛ لمحافظتها على موقعها المتميز بين الجامعات الأفريقية، وتميز مخرجاتها البحثية، ومحافظتها على التواصل مع المجتمع المحلي. - تعد خبرة كل من معهد ماساتشوستس للتكنولوجيا وجامعة كيب تاون من الخبرات المتميزة والرائدة كجامعات بحثية، وهما تتشابهان في أن الجامعات البحثية ضرورة ملحة يقرضها الواقع العالمي والمتغيرات الدولية والمحلية، وأن نجاح تلك الجامعات في تحقيق أهدافها يتطلب تضافر جهود جميع المعنيين، وتوقير الموارد المادية اللازمة، بالإضافة إلى الإيمان بقيمة البحث العلمي ودوره في نهضة الأمم وتقدمها، وتوفير البنية التحتية اللازمة، وتوفير الباحثين والعلماء المبدعين أصحاب الرؤى والفكر المستنير والرغبة في الإنجاز والقدرة عليه والمثابرة في تحقيقه، مع بناء شراكة فاعلة ومسئولة، مبنية على معلومات وحقائق ومنفعة متبادلة بين الجامعة وجميع مؤسسات المجتمع في مختلف القطاعات، وإن كانتا تختلفان في النشأة والتطور والانجازات. واستنادا على ما سبق تم التوصل إلى تصور مقترح لجامعة بحثية مصرية على ضوء خبرة معهد ماساتشوستس للتكنولوجيا وجامعة كيب تاون من خلال عدة محاور: رؤية الجامعة، رسالتها، أهدافها، سياسة القبول، القيادة الجامعية، البنية التحتية، مصادر التمويل، أعضاء هيئة التدريس، الطلاب، الدراسات العليا والبحوث، العملية التعليمية، البرامج الدراسية، أساليب التقويم.
The study aimed to suggest a framework for a research university in Egypt in light of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Cape Town experiences. The Study utilized the comparative design, and to achieve the objectiy.es of the study and answer the questions a theoretical framework has been designed to ensure the following: -Analysis of research universities, their objectives, significance, assets, the values and characteristics of research universities , justifications for establishing research universities , educational process within, resources of funding, impediments of establishing research universities. -Analyzing the Experience of both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Cape Town, and running a comparative analysis for both the experience. The study came up with some results, including the following: - Massachusetts Institute of Technology occupies the world's top universities, according to the classification (QS) distinct as a research university. It seeks to increase research outputs, and to contribute to the progress of the local and global community. It has a good productive tangible impact in the US and the global community, and The University of Cape Town occupies top of African universities as a research public university. It maintains the classification of the top 200 universities in the world. It is a reputable university research aiming to maintainin its privileged position among African universities. It is marked with its research outputs, and maintains communication with the local community. -Both Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Caps Town experiences are unique and leading research universities, They are alike in that research universities is an urgent need imposed by the global reality of international and local variables, and the success of those universities in achieving their goals. This requires the combined efforts of all concerned and the provision of material resources as well as -faith in the value of scientific research and its role in the renaissance of nations and progress to acieve their goals. Add to this, providing the necessary infrastructure, researchers and scientists with creative visionaries, enlightened thinking, desire for achievement and ability to achieve the goals with effective and responsible partnership. This partnership is based on the information and facts and benefit exchanged between the university and all the institutions of society in various sectors. Considering the two institutes are different in the origination, development and in achievements. -Based on that, the framework for a research university in Egypt in light of the experience of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Cape Town has been suggested. It includes several axes- University's vision, mission, objectives, admission policy, university leadership, infrastructure, funding sources, faculty members, students, graduate studies and research, educational process, curricula, methods of assessment.
