المستخلص: cet article se propose d’apporter un éclairage sur les caractéristiques de l’emploi féminin en Algérie de 2004 a 2017 qui a marqué un taux féminin très élevé d’après les chiffres. Les caractéristiques de l’emploi des femmes en Algérie et en forte concentration dans le secteur public notamment dans le milieu urbain avec un niveau d’instruction très élevé. Cette configuration du marché du travail est aujourd’hui en pleine mutation et ce en rapport avec les changements observés suite aux transformations économiques et sociales et aux mutations des systèmes de représentation et de valeurs concernant le rôle et le statut de la femme dans la société algérienne.

The measurement and analysis of women's participation in economic and social development has become a necessity in political, social and scientific research debates. This article aims to shed light on the characteristics of women's employment in Algeria from 2004 to 2017, which marked a very high female rate according to the figures. The characteristic of the employment of women in Algeria and in high concentration in the public sector especially in the urban environment with a very high level of education. This configuration of the labor market is today changing and in relation with the changes observed following the economic and social transformations and changes in the role and status of women in Algerian society.
