المستخلص: الحال وصف مهم في التعبير، يمثل في الجملة الركيزة الموضحة لمجريات الحدث، وهو يعطي للكلام تحديداً لابد منه حتى يستقيم الكلام ويتم المعنى. فالحال عنصر مهم في مفردات الجملة، ويمكن الاستغناء عن الحال في موارد لا يراد منها توضيح الحال فيها. والحال وصف موضح يؤتى به لفهم بعض معاني صاحبه الموصوف به في الجملة، وقابل للتخلي عن صاحبه لأنه وصف منتقل غير ثابت، بما يتيح في لحظة وجوده فهم صاحبه بنوعٍ من الفهم السريع والمعرف به والمخصص له بعض التحديد والتخصيص. ولجملة الحال متطلبات كثيرة تكفل هذا البحث التطرق لها والبحث فيها: فمنها متطلبات لفظية اتفق عليها النحويون، وهي متطلبات كثيرة، مثل أن الحال وصف وأنه منتصب، وأنه فضلة وبيان وغير ذلك، ومنها متطلبات أخرى أشار لها النحويون ضمنا، وهي متطلبات كثيرة أيضا، مثل أن الحال اسم وصاحبه اسم أيضاً وأنه بمثابة الصفة في الإيضاح، ولا يؤتى به للثبات إلا في أحوال، إلى غير ذلك من الأمور.
