المستخلص: تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى الكشف عن واقع وآفاق التوجيه الدراسي في الجزائر، وذلك بالاستناد على نتائج مجموعة أبحاث ودراسات أجريت في هذا الاتجاه، وقد اعتمدنا في قراءتنا لهذا الواقع على مجموعة من المحكات هي: مدى تطبيق القوانين والتشريعات الخاصة بالتوجيه الدراسي على أرض الواقع، مدى توفر الآليات والأدوات المشخصة للمسار الدراسي الملائم للتلميذ، مدى توفر الظروف الملائمة لعمل مستشار التوجيه والإرشاد المدرسي والمهني في الجزائر. قراءتنا لآفاق التوجيه الدراسي مرتبطة كثيرا بواقعه، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن واقع التوجيه الدراسي بالجزائر مرتبط كثيرا بالخريطة التربوية وبعدد الأماكن البيداغوجية، بدلا من الاعتماد في توجيه التلميذ على ملمحه وقدراته وميوله.

The present study aims at revealing the reality and prospects of educational orientation in Algeria, based on the results of a series of previous researches studies in the field. In the process, we relied on a number of facts: the extent to which the laws and legislations of educational orientation are applied on the ground, the availability of mechanisms and tools for the appropriate curriculum for students, the availability of appropriate conditions for the work of the school and vocational orientation in Algeria. The study has concluded that the educational orientation in Algeria is arranged with reference to the educational map and the number of pedagogical seats, instead of relying on orienting the student based on his features, abilities and inclinations.

La présente étude vise à révéler la réalité et les perspectives de l'orientation scolaire en Algérie sur la base des résultats d’une série de recherches et d’études menés dans ce sens. Nous nous somme appuyés dans notre lecture de cette réalité sur un ensemble d’indicateurs dont: la mesure dans laquelle les lois et règlements relatifs a l'orientation scolaire sont appliqués sur le terrain, la disponibilité de mécanismes et outils pour un cursus approprié pour l'étudiant, et la disponibilité des conditions appropriées pour l'orientation scolaire et professionnelle en Algérie. L'étude a conclu que l'orientation scolaire en Algérie est liée à la carte éducative et le nombre de places pédagogiques, plutôt que d’orienter l’élève selon ses caractéristiques, ses capacités et ses inclinations.
