This study aims to address the relationship between the qualitative method and the quantitative method to try to explain the different elements of their complementarity, showing how their twinning will be possible in sociological research. For several decades, researchers agree on the existence of at least two major methodologies in the social sciences, regarded as divergent or even opposing (quantitative/qualitative). Two approaches were considered in two different ways, and yet, they undergo very similar principles. Today the traditional cleavage between the two methods is outdated; we can notice in the same search, the employment of several types of approaches jointly. These methodologies are increasingly addressed not in terms of their differences, but under their complementarities. This practical vision of research is being established and by which we are observing the development of an approach called "mixed method", this is also the idea that we suggest developing in this article.
