| 520 | |b The businesses adoption of new managerial concepts as social responsibility surely imposes challenges on the system of the management control. As a results, the measurement and the assessment of the global performance requires the adaptation of the management control’s system to the social responsibility’s dimensions by assuring a successful integration of the social and the environmental dimensions, in the system which explains the need to use new managerial tools and models. The need to use the modern tools of management control, which are significantly compatible with the requirements of the new businesses’ management orientation, is explained by the businesses’ desire to rationalize the processes of management, for the best achievement of objectives and for satisfying the stakeholders, thereby achieving the business’s surviving and continuity in the competitive environment. The present research aims to present a proposed framework for measuring the global performance, using the sustainable balanced scorecard as a managerial approach that translates the organization's vision and strategy into a set of metrics that cover the global performance of an organization and the social scorecard “Skandia Navigator” as one of the managerial tools that gives a great importance to the human resource component in the process of measuring the performance regarding the progressive interest given to the individuals as the main source of knowledge and success in organization. To achieve the research objective, an analytical study was conducted by addressing the literature of both the sustainable balanced scorecard and the social balanced scorecard Skandia Navigator as two modern and effective tools of the management control that integrate the social and the environmental indicators, and successfully assess the global performance of businesses, which are socially committed. The research found that the importance of using the Sustainable Balanced Scorecard and Skandia Navigator in a socially committed companies, is summarized in the following key points: - The adaptation possibility of management control systems to the developing needs of the businesses in market. - The measurement and the control of the global performance of the businesses_ - The reconciliation between the economic, social and environmental performance of businesses. - The Creation of a strong link between the business's activities and the strategic objectives. - The maximization of the businesses’ awareness about the internal and the external’s environmental variables that affect their survival and sustainability in market. - The possibility of integrating the social and the environmental dimensions within the four dimensions of the balanced scorecard. | ||
