المستخلص: The research aims to identify the role of social networking sites in the development of communication skills of Saudi youth through the intensity of the Saudi youth use of social networks and the contribution of social media in the development of communication skills. This research is one of the descriptive studies, and the researchers relied on the survey methodology sample, which, the research community is a sample of (400) individual young Saudis, in the age group (18-30) years, including males and females. The research was applied to the study sample of the Saudi youth in the period from 1/1/2019 to 31/1/2019, which is the period in which the questionnaire was conducted. Top search results: 1. There was a statistically significant correlation between Saudi youth use of social networking sites and the development of their communication skills. 2. There is no statistically significant correlation between the time range of using social media among Saudi youth and developing their communication skills. 3. There was a statistically significant correlation between the motives (utilitarian and ritual) for the use of social networking sites among Saudi youth and the development of their communication skills. 4. There was a statistically significant correlation between the satisfactions achieved for the use of social networking sites among Saudi youth and the development of their communication skills. 5. There are statistically significant differences between the intensity of the Saudi youth use of social networking sites according to gender variable and is in favor of the largest average any female
