المستخلص: Addiction specialists agree that addiction is the solution to mental suffering and not a symptom of any psychopathology. It is grafted within any psychic structure next to panoply of neurotic, psychotic or borderline defenses. It is intimately linked to the history of the narcissistic development of our addictive subjects. if for one of them, the perverse and addictive pole constitutes a bulwark against excitement facing castration, the intrusion of psychotic anxieties, masochic suffering or the drive destructiveness of the self, for the other, the cleavage of the archaic maternal object, the flight from the core of chaotic sideration of the self and of identity confusion, towards the addictive link reinforce the denial of the insurmountable horror of the dedifferentiation of limits and the return to the fusional state with the mother primitive. It is a question of maintaining or even fixing the boundaries of the self in the face of the resurgence of archaic formations by means of defenses of neurotic or psychotic appearance (avoidance, displacement, cleavage, denial, projective identification). These defenses spare the Ego the destinies of confusion, fragmentation, depersonalization of the personality. It is within the early conflicting links to the archaic maternal figure that the seeds of addiction arise.

Les spécialistes de la question addictive, s’entendent à considérer l’addiction comme solution à la souffrance psychique et non un symptôme d’une psychopathologie quelconque. Elle se greffe au sein de toute structure psychique à côté de panoplie de défenses névrotiques, psychotiques ou borderline. Elle est intimement liée à l’histoire du développement narcissique de nos sujets addictifs. si pour l’un deux, le pôle pervers et addictif constitue un rempart pare-excitant face à la castration, l’intrusion d’ angoisses psychotiques, la souffrance masochique ou la destructivité pulsionnelle du self, pour l’autre, le clivage de l’objet maternel archaïque, la fuite du noyau de sidération chaotique du self et de la confusion identitaire, vers le lien addictif renforcent le déni de l’horreur insurmontable de la dédifférenciation des limites et du retour à l’état fusionnelle d’avec la mère primitive. Il s’agit de maintenir voire fixer les frontières du self face à la résurgence de formations archaïques par le biais de défenses d’allure névrotique ou psychotique (évitement, déplacement, clivage, déni, identification projective). Ces défenses épargnent au Moi les destins de confusion, de fragmentation, de dépersonnalisation de la personnalité, C’est au sein des liens précoces conflictuels à la figure maternelle archaïque que se posent les germes de l’addiction.
