A partir d’une enquête sociologique, menée au sein de l’université, notre étude vise la compréhension des sens attribués par les étudiants aux rapports qu’ils instaurent quotidiennement avec l’institution universitaire. Mais l’université en tant qu’institution présente des dysfonctionnements à l’heure actuelle; loin de permettre l’acquisition du savoir, l’université favorise à l’image de la société, les valeurs propres au changement socio-culturel, valeurs sociales nouvelles qui mènent vers le conformisme et la passivité culturelle.

The study devotes an essential place to understanding the meaning that the university student gives in his relationship with the university institution, but the university today is far from its scientific and pedagogical function and is working to employ new social values according to the sociocultural change that is taking place at the present time in Algeria, a field study at the University of Hadj Lakhdar Batna.
