المستخلص: يعد وجود الوالدين مطلب أساسي وجوهري في خلق جودة الحياة للأبناء ولاسيما الأب، لأن الأب هـو القدوة الأولى بالنسبة لأبنائه، إذ تبقى صورته لديهم عظيمة لا توازيها عظمة، فهو مثال للأمن والقوة والرجولة؛ لأنه يحمي أطفاله، وهو مثال للحنان والعطف، لأنه يقوم باحتضانهم، وهو مثال للحب، لأنه يكون قريب منهم دائماً، وهو مثال للتربية الصالحة، لأنه يوجههم ويرشدهم. فمن هنا تكمن أهمية وجود الأب الذي يعمل على غرس القيم والاتجاهات والعادات والمفاهيم في نفوس أبنائه، مما يؤهلهم للتوافق النفسي الإيجابي مع ذواتهم أولاً، ومن ثم مع محيطهم الخارجي الذي يشمل المدرسة ومجموعة الأقران بصفة عامة. كما أن التوافق النفسي والانفعالي لا يمكن أن يحدث إلا داخل الأسرة التي تمد أبنائها بالعطف والحب والرعاية والاطمئنان والشعور بالاستقرار، وأن أي خلل يصيب استقرار هذه الأسرة من خلال فقدان أحد أركانها الأساسية من أب أو أم قد يخل بتوازنها، مما يؤدي إلى تشققها وسقوط وظائفها ومن ثم يتعرض أطفالها إلى الحرمان العاطفي والذي يكون سببا رئيسا في انعدام الإحساس بجودة الحياة. لذا جاء البحث الحالي ليدرس مستوى جودة الحياة لدى الأيتام في المرحلة المتوسطة، ومن أجل التوصل إلى أهداف البحث قامت الباحثة ببناء مقياس يتألف من (18) فقرة، كما اختارت الباحثة عينة شملت (150) يتيما من الذكور والإناث، ولقد استخرجت الباحثة لفقرات المقياس معاملات الصدق والثبات من أجل تطبيقه على عينة البحث، وبعد انتهاء الباحثة من تطبيق مقياس جودة الحياة على الأيتام، أظهرت النتاج ما يلي: أ-أن العينة تعاني من ضعف الشعور بجودة الحياة. ب-لا يوجد تأثير لمتغير (الجنس، والمرحلة الدراسية) في مستوى جودة الحياة لدى الأيتام.

The presence of the parents and the basic fundamental requirement in creating quality of life for children, especially the father, because the first role model for his children, as his image remains great does not match the greatness, an example of security, strength and masculinity and protects his children, an example of tenderness and kindness; because he embraces them, an example of love; an example of good education; because he guides them and advises them. Hence, the importance of having a father who instills values, attitudes, habits and concepts in the hearts of his children, this qualifies them for positive psychological compatibility with themselves first, and then with their external environment, which includes school and peer group in general. Psychological and emotional Compatibility can only occur within a family that provides children with affection, love, care, reassurance and a sense of stability. Any imbalance in the stability of this family through the loss of one of its main pillars from a father or mother may disturb its balance, which leads to cracking and the fall of its functions, her children are then subjected to emotional deprivation, which is a major cause of a lack of quality of life. Therefore, the current research came to study the level of quality of life of orphans in the intermediate stage, and in order to reach the objectives of the research the researcher built a scale consisting of (18) items, the researcher also selected a sample that included (150) orphans of males and females, and the researcher extracted items of the scale of coefficients of Validity and Stability in order to apply it to the research sample. After the researcher finished applying the quality of life measure to orphans, the results showed the following: a-The sample suffers from poor quality of life. b-There is no effect of variable (sex, and school stage) on the quality of life of orphans. After obtaining the results of the research, the researcher made a set of recommendations and suggestions, as follows:
