صحافة المواطن تمثل التطور الناتج عن انتشار التقنيات الحديثة في مجال الإعلام والاتصال، وتزايد تطبيقاتها على شبكة الإنترنت، ومشكلة البحث تتمثل في تشخيص مدى اعتماد الصحفيين المحترفين على صحافة المواطن كمصدر للمعلومات، ويكتسب البحث أهمية كونه يقف على معايير الموضوعية والدقة في نقل المعلومات والأخبار من حيث طبيعة المصادر المساهمة فيها أو في أشكال تقديمها، أو الوسائل التي يتم الاعتماد عليها في توصيل هذه المضامين، ذلك أن الجمهور يؤدي دوراً محورياً في العمل الإعلامي ولم يعد مجرد متلقي فقط، بل منتجاً ومشاركاً في صناعة المضمون الصحفي، وقد اعتمد البحث المنهج المسحي الميداني واستخدم أداة الاستبيان للتعرف إلى طبيعة اعتماد الناشطين في مجال صناعة الأخبار على صحافة المواطن كمصادر إخبارية، وقد توصل الباحث إلى تشخيص لسلوك القائم بالاتصال يتناسب مع أهمية المعلومات ومستوى مصداقيتها، كما أن مشاركة أي خبر تتوقف على طبيعة المحتوى الإعلامي ومعايير الدقة والموضوعية في محتواه، كما إن الصحف أصبحت تهتم بالمكانة المعنوية الجديدة للمواطن الصحفي في العملية الاتصالية، وأن هناك رغبة في استيعاب الأنواع الصحفية الجديدة التي تتلائم مع طبيعة المصادر الجديدة.
Citizen press represents the development resulting from the spread of new technologies in the field of information and communication, their increasing applications on the Internet, and the problem of research is to diagnose the extent to which professional journalists rely on the citizen press as a source of information. The study is important because it is based on the criteria of objectivity and accuracy in the transmission of information and news in terms of the nature of the sources that contribute to it or the forms of its submission, or the means on which these content is communicated, as the public plays a central role in the media work and is no longer merely a recipient. It is also a product and participant in the press content industry, the research has adopted the field survey method and used the survey tool to identify the nature of news industry activists' dependence on the citizen press as news sources, and the researcher has found a diagnosis of the communication behavior that matches the importance of information and its credibility, and participation of any news depends on the nature of the media content and the criteria of accuracy and objectivity in its content, and the newspapers have become concerned with the new moral status of the press citizen in the communication process, and there is a desire to accommodate new press types that fit the new sources.
