المستخلص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى بحث العلاقة بين الذكاء الاجتماعي ومستوى الطموح لدى عينة مكونة من (545) من طلبة جامعة حائل في التخصصات الطبيعية والإنسانية. وقد استخدم الباحث أداتين من أجل جمع المعلومات وهما مقياس الطموح (المثابرة للإنجاز والتفوق، الرضا بالواقع الحاضر والتطلعات المستقبلية للحياة). ومقياس الذكاء الاجتماعي (التعاطف مع الأخرين، فاعلية الذات الاجتماعية، الوعي الاجتماعي)، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود علاقة بين مستوى الطموح (المثابرة والرغبة في الإنجاز والتفوق، الرضا بالواقع الحاضر والتطلعات المستقبلية للحياة) والذكاء الاجتماعي (التعاطف مع الأخرين، الوعي الاجتماعي، فاعلية الذات الاجتماعي) لدى طلبة جامعة حائل، حيث بلغت قيم معاملات الارتباط 0.341، 0.376، 0.414 وهي دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى (0.01). قدم البحث عدد من المقترحات للميدان التعليمي التطبيقي ومنها: إقامة البرامج التوعوية الإرشادية للطلبة وأولياء الأمور من أجل تنمية مستوى الطموح لديهم من خلال عرض بعض النماذج الاجتماعية الناجحة عبر وسائل التقنيات المتنوعة.

This study aims to investigate the relationship between social intelligence and the level of aspiration among a sample of (n 545)Hail University students in the natural and humanities majors. To that end, the researcher used two instruments to collect data: The Scale of Aspiration Level (persistence to achieve, excellence, accepting the present reality and life future ambitions)and the Social Intelligence Scale (sympathy with others, the social self-efficacy and social awareness). The findings of the study revealed that there is a relationship between the level of aspiration (persistence, desire to achieve and excellence) and social intelligence (sympathy with others, social awareness, the social self-efficacy) among Hail University students where the correlation values 0.341, 0.376, 0.414 were statistically significant at the level of 0.01. Likewise, the study showed a relationship between the level of aspiration (accepting the present reality and life future ambitions)and the social intelligence (sympathy with others, social awareness and the social self-efficacy) among the students where the correlation values 0.273, 0.269, 0.387 were statistically significant at the level of 0.01. In view of the study results, the paper suggested few recommendations for the applied educational field, the most significant of which are holding guiding awareness programs for both the students and the parents to develop their level of aspiration by introducing some successful social models using the various technological means
