|b This study, which was intended to explain Algeria's backwardness compared to comparator countries, allowed us to measure the differences in value added between Algeria and the emerging countries to explain these differences by an indicator of Structural transformation. The first part of this study will be a literature paper.. The second part will analyze catch-up effects by calculating value-added gaps. In the third part, it will be a descriptive analysis of indicators explaining the differences in value added between Algeria and the reference countries.

|d Cette étude, qui avait pour objectif d’expliquer le retard de l’Algérie par rapport à des pays comparateurs, a permis de mesurer les écarts de la valeur ajoutée entre l’Algérie et les pays émergents, d’expliquer ces écarts par un indicateur de transformation structurelle. La première partie de cette étude va passer en revue de la littérature. La deuxième partie consistera à analyser les effets de rattrapage par le calcul des écarts de la valeur ajoutée. Dans la troisième partie, il s’agira de faire une analyse descriptive des indicateurs expliquant les écarts de la valeur ajoutée entre l‘Algérie et les pays de référence.
