|b Numerous recent historical studies have confirmed the importance of new Fiqh-related cases (al-Nawazil) books in helping to identify the conditions of societies and nations in different eras. The books of al-Nawazil are a record of all aspects of life with its social, economic, intellectual, legislative, urban and political minutes, hence, the historian can benefit from the richness of its materials in revealing what historical books were unable to reveal. The need for books of (al-Nawazil) is even more important in writing the history of the countries of western Sudan, as the lack of news material was a real obstacle when searching in the depth of the original traditional sources circulating on the countries of western Sudan, that has burdened Muslim historians and modern researchers as well who work in the field of Islamic national history for the region. That pushed many of them to rely on the late writings of Western researchers dating back to the two centuries (the twelfth and thirteenth AH / eighteenth and nineteenth centuries AD), and also pushed many of them to rely on local oral accounts which is not recorded in the books of the predecessors. Therefore, the search for original sources other than these late references became a necessity to enrich the material of historical research on western Sudan. Based on the aforementioned reasons about the importance of using Fatwa and (al-Nawazil) books as a source of rewriting the Sudanese history, four books were chosen in this article as models for statements and representations of this era, and the study of its data and the limits of its contributions to the political, economic, social and religious history of the western Sudan region
