يهتم البحث بإلقاء الضوء على الأحوال الاقتصادية لبلاد المغرب العربي إبان القرن الثالث الهجري / التاسع الميلادي وما يتعلق بها من أمور حيوية هامة في حياة سكان تلك النواحي وأنشطتهم المختلفة مثل الزراعة والصناعة والتجارة وذلك في ضوء المصادر والكتابات التاريخية المختلفة وما أشارت إليه أعمال المؤرخين الدالة على تلك الأحوال، وكيف كان للدويلات الناشئة دورها الحيوي والهام في التطور الحضاري في مجال الاقتصاد؛ وقد تطرق البحث للظروف السياسية لبلاد المغرب فترة الدراسة، كما تناول أهم الطرق التجارية بين أقسام المغرب الثلاثة الأدنى والأوسط والأقصى وصراع القبائل للسيطرة عليها إضافة إلى الدور الذي لعبته مدن المغرب في النشاط التجاري الداخلي والخارجي على السواء، ثم عرجت الدراسة إلى أبرز مظاهر التطور والازدهار الاقتصادي في مجال الإنتاج الزراعي والحيواني، والصناعات الحرفية. ثم ظهرت الأسواق التجارية والموانئ الساحلية ودورها الكبير الذي لعبته في سبيل التطور والازدهار الاقتصادي في بلاد المغرب. وختاما ظهرت نتائج الدراسة التي تم استخلاصها من بين ثنايا المعلومات الواردة فيه، وأخيرا المصادر والمراجع التي تم الاعتماد عليها في هذه الدراسة.
This research sheds the light on the economic situations in the Arab Maghreb States during the Third Hijri Century/The Ninth Georgian century and all related vital and important issues of the inhabitants of these areas along with the different activities such as agriculture, industry and commerce in light of sources, different historical writings and the historians’ works which showed these conditions. It also shows how were the originating states of great and important role in the cultural development in economy. The research also tackles the political conditions of the Arab Maghreb States during the period this study is concerned with. It also sheds the light on the most important trade roads among the three parts of the Maghreb states; the near, middle and far parts and discusses the conflict of the tribes to control these roads. The research also shows the role played by Maghreb States in the external and internal activity of trade. Then the research shows the most prominent aspects of the economic development and progress in the agricultural and animal production and in the pottery industry. The research also shows that the trade markets and coastal ports played great role in the economic development and progress of the Maghreb States. The study concluded with showing the research results which were extracted from the information contained therein. Finally, the research mentions the sources and references it depended on for this study
