تعد منهجية ستة سيجما أحد أهم الطرق التي تعني بالتنبؤ بالأخطاء واكتشافها وإزالة آثارها التي قد تصيب عمليات الأعمال في الشركات الصناعية والتي تؤثر على المنتج النهائي، هذا بالإضافة إلى وضع أسس لتلافيها مستقبليا ويتم هذا بتوافر جميع الإمكانيات التي تعد من الركائز الأساسية لتطبيق منهجية Six Sigma وإن تطبيق منهجية ستة سيجما تندرج في إدارة الجودة الشاملة، ويساعد تبني المنظمات لمنهجية ستة سيجما على تخفيض تكاليف المنتجات وهذا يؤثر على رضاء العملاء الأمر الذي يعزز قدراتها في خلق مشاريع استثمارية جديدة. ولتحقيق أهداف هذه الدراسة، قام الباحث بإجراء دراسة استكشافية على إحدى المنظمات، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج، كان من أهمها توفر استراتيجية لعمليات التطوير لدي المنظمة، توفر دليل واضح حول سياسات وأهداف الجودة داخل المنظمة، وجود استعداد للتطبيق الفعال لمراحل ستة سيجما في المشاريع كدعم أنشطة التطبيق. وبشكل عام يمكن القول بأن توافر الإمكانيات الإدارية والمالية لتطبيق ستة سيجما لا يمثل المقام الأول فحسب، ولكن لابد أن يسبق هذا قابلية الأفراد على الاستعداد لتوفير الإمكانيات التقنية اللازمة لتطبيق ستة سيجما وأن المنظمة لديها القدرة على إشراك الموظفين في نشاطات الجودة وعمليات التحسين المستمر، كما أن هناك موافقة على إمكانية توافر الموارد البشرية القادرة على التطبيق. كما يري الباحث أن تتوفر جميع المتطلبات اللازمة لتطبيق ستة سيجما من خلال الاهتمام بتوافر مجموعة من العمالة الكفء والتي يتم اختيارهم من خلال متغير المستوي التعليمي حيث يري بعض الباحثين ضرورة توفر المتطلبات الإنتاجية على عكس المتطلبات الوظيفية. وقد أوصت الدراسة على توفير الإمكانيات اللازمة لعملية تطبيق ستة سيجما من أجل التحسين في المنظمة وخاصة في العمليات الإنتاجية لأهميته في تقليل معدل الأخطاء، ومن بينها توفير الدعم المالي والإداري لأنهما يشكلان حجر الأساس الذي تعتمد عليه مقومات النظام ودعم الإدارة العليا ومساعدتها على محاولة تطبيق ستة سيجما ودعم أنشطة التدريب، واختيار المشاريع ومراجعة النتائج وتوفير نظام دقيق لقياس مستويات الأداء والتركيز على العملاء من أهم مبادئ ستة سيجما وعليه يجب قياس مستويات رضا العاملين ووضع صندوق شكاوي ومقترحات خاص بالعاملين ووجهه نظرهم اتجاة المنتجات المقدمة لهم والاستفادة من التغذية العكسية ومحاولة إزالة الحواجز كالعقبات التي تواجه عملية التطبيق .
