Ali Ahmed Bakhtir used every opportunity in his play "The New Shylock" to confirm that it is inspired by The Shylock of Venice." He has stated that nine mes within his pages of work (pages 143- 152- 155- 158- 160- 201- 202- 247- 250). In the second part of the play, "Shylock The Solution", Bakhtir put a cover photo of an Arab kahl standing with an open chest to receive stabbings from a Jewish kahl. He also showed in the bottom of the Image a balance steadily based on a sword that looked like a cross with the sun shining behind them. It was as if he wanted that cover to acknowledge that they are two plays in one play. The first is "Shylock The Problem" and the second is "Shylock The Solution". In this play we are standing before an original and two copies: The Shylock of Venice The Original Shylock The Problem The First Copy Shylock The Solution The Second Copy There is a clear dominance of Shakespeare's original on the two copies. "Shylock The Problem" is a traditional pattern to portray the Jew that was a professional in usury, greedy for money, a briber and a bribed, a pimp sometimes to achieve his benefits, inclined to aggression, deception, and bloodshed. All this is for one goal: to establish the national home of the Jews in Palestine. This is the true tool of global Zionism. Above that, he does all this in wiliness, steadiness, and complete control over his nerves. On the other hand, "Shylock The Solution" is the embodiment of an imaginary trial derived from the trial 'The Shylock of Venice." It was characterized by the strong forces of argument, insolent demand that elicits sympathy, and the need for respect and social acceptance. "Shylock The Solution" was the closest to "The Shylock of Venice" as it expresses the Jews' attempt to prove the idea of injustice, persecution, and legal call to their right to survive and have a country. However, the naive ending negatively affected the dramatic construction of the character "Shylock The Solution" under the weight of the strong desire of Ali Ahmed Bakhtir to solve the problem of Palestine in his virtual world.
لم يترك على أحمد باكثير فرصة في مسرحيته (شيلوك الجديد) ليؤكد أن شايلوك الجديد هو استيحاء من شيلوك البندقية، وقد صرح بذلك تسع مرات داخل العمل في صفحات (١٤٣- ١٥٢- ١٥٥-١٥٨- ١٦٠- ٢٠١- ٢٠٢- ٢٤٧- ٢٥٠)، وضع باكثير في صدر الجزء الثاني من المسرحية (الحل) صورة غلاف لكهل عربي يقف فاتحا صدره ليتلقى طعنات كهل يهودي، كما وضع في أسفل الصورة صورة ميزان يرتكز على سيف أشبه ما يكون بصليب، ومن خلفه شمس تشع نوراً فكأنه يريد بذلك الغلاف أن يقر بكونهما مسرحيتين في مسرحية واحدة الأولى (المشكلة) والثانية (الحل)، ونحن في هذه المسرحية أمام أصل وصورتين: الأصل شيلوك البندقيـة الصورة شيلوك المشكلة الصورة شيلوك الحل وقد بدأ واضحاً سطوة الأصل الشكسبيري على الصورتين شيلوك المشكلة وشيلوك الحل، (شيلوك المشكلة). نمط تقليدي لصورة اليهودي المحترف للربا المتكالب على المال الراشي والمرتشي القواد في بعض الأحيان لتحقيق مصالحه، المائل إلى العدوانية والخداع وسفك الدماء، لكن كل هذا من أجل هدف واحد هو تحقيق الوطن القومي لليهود في فلسطين، فهو الأداة الحقيقية للصهيونية العالمية، ويفعل كل هذا في مكر ودهاء وتحكم كامل في الأعصاب، أما شيلوك الحل فهو تجسيد لمحاكمة تخيلية مستمدة من محاكمة (شيلوك البندقية) كان فيها الأول قوى الحجة وقح الطلب يستدر العطف والحاجة إلى الاحترام والقبول المجتمعي، وقد كان شيلوك الحل هو أقرب ما يكون لشيلوك البندقية، إذ يعبر عن محاولة اليهود لإثبات فكرة المظلمة والاضطهاد والدعوة الشرعية بحقهم في البقاء والوطن، لكن النهاية الساذجة أثرت سلبياً على ذلك البنـاء الدرامي لشخصية (شيلوك الحل) تحت وطأة الرغبة الشديدة لعلى أحمد باكثير لحل مشكلة فلسطين في عالمه الافتراضي.
