المستخلص: في هذا البحث، يتحدث الباحث عن الإشارات والرموز داخل رواية "منزل الموت المؤكد" للكاتب "ألبير قصيري". ففي هذه الرواية التي تدور أحداثها داخل مصر نجد "سي خليل" وهو شخص يتسم بالأنانية، نجده يملك منزلا أيل للسقوط ويرفض ترميمه على الرغم من إصراره على أن يقوم السكان بدفع الإيجار له كل شهر. وإذا تحدثنا عن مستأجري العقار فإننا سنجدهم يعانون من الضعف إذ أنهم عاجزون عن مواجهة "سي خليل" الذي يتسم بالجبروت والظلم. ولكن من بين هؤلاء السكان نجد "عبد العال" وهو أحد مستأجري العقار ويتسم بصفة لا توجد في بقية السكان: ألا وهي الحكمة والقدرة على إقناع كل من حوله بأفكاره فهو يدرك تماما أن التعاون والتضامن هما الوسيلتان الوحيدتان لمكافحة الظلم وللانتصار على "سي خليل". أما فيما يتعلق بالنقاط المطروحة بالبحث، فسيقوم الباحث بدراسة الرمز داخل نص "ألبير قصيري"، وفقا لنظرية الناقد الروسي "تودوروڤ". فمن خلال دراسة المكان الذي تدور فيه الأحداث يصبح القارئ على دراية بمدى الفقر المدقع الذي يعاني منه سكان المنزل وعلى وعي أيضا بأن كل شخصية من شخصيات الرواية تمثل فكرة معينة أو مفهوم معين. والمنهج العلمي المتبع في البحث هو المنهج التحليلي والمنهج الجدلي. أما الأول فهو يعتمد على دراسة الإطار المكاني والزماني للأحداث (حارة السبع بنات التي يقع فيها منزل "سي خليل" بالإضافة إلى وصف البيت نفسه الذي هو على وشك الانهيار). أما الثاني فهو يتيح لنا الحديث عن طرح قضية وطرح مضاد: أما الطرح فهو يتمثل في عجز المستأجرين عن مقاومة "سي خليل" وذلك لانقسامهم وتشتتهم نتيجة انشغال كل ساكن بمشكلاته الشخصية بينما ينحصر الطرح المضاد في ظهور "عبد العال"، ذلك المستأجر العاقل الذي يتسم بالحكمة والقدرة على رؤية الأمور بشكل مختلف عن بقية السكان. فهذه الشخصية لها دور هام في حل المشكلة إذ أنها تسعى إلى ضم كل السكان تحت رايتها لمحاربة الظلم الذي يجسده صاحب العقار. وفي خاتمة البحث، يستخلص الباحث أن كل شيء في الرواية له دلالة رمزية. فإن كانت بعض الشخصيات ترمز إلى الفساد الأخلاقي، فإن الشخصيات الأخرى ترمز إلى الحكمة والعقل اللازمين لإقرار العدالة الاجتماعية. وبذلك يرى الباحث أن كل المفاهيم تتحول إلى أمور ملموسة يمكن للقارئ تحليلها وفهم المعنى الضمني لكل إشارة أو رمز، وبذلك فإن دراسة رواية "ألبير قصيري" تساعد على تنمية الحس النقدي لدي القارئ إذ أنها حافلة بالرموز والمعاني الضمنية.

This research tackles the function of symbols in The house of the inevitable death of Albert Cossery. The events of this story take place in Egypt. It speaks about Si Khalil, a selfish egoistic owner of a house which is about to fall down. Despite the poor condition of his house, Si Khalil insists on taking money from the people who rent the apartments. In fact, these people pay him reluctantly as they can't afford to buy new houses for themselves. Abdel Al is a man who lives in one of the apartments of Si Khalil's house. He is a very wise man who believes that solidarity is the only solution to triumph over the egoism and the selfishness of the house's owner. The point of discussion of this research is to study the function of signs and symbols in Cossery's text, according to the theory of Todorov. Through a deep study of the setting of the novel, we will be aware of the severe poverty which the people living in the house are suffering from. In this novel, we meet a group of characters; each one of them represents a certain concept. As for the approach used in this research, the researcher is going to use two different methods: the analytic method and the argumentative method. The former aims at studying the time and the setting of the novel ("The Seven Girls" alley and the house in which all the events are taking place). The latter allows us to introduce the idea of the helplessness of the people living in the house suffering from the difficulty in dealing with the owner's selfishness as each one of them is busy with his own problems. Afterwards, the paper will discuss the role played by Abdel Al, this wise man who is ready to gather the people living in the house around him to combat the oppression of the owner. The researcher ends up his study reaching the conclusion that every symbol has its own significance in the novel. If there are people who are symbol of moral corruption, there are others who represent rationality and wisdom necessary for establishing social justice. Moreover, the researcher wants to prove that any abstract idea should be personified by a tangible element. All such symbols develop the critical sense of the reader whose role is to think critically to decode the literary text.

Dans cette recherche, nous étudierons les signes et les symboles dans La Maison de la mort certaine d'Albert Cossery. Dans ce roman dont les événements se déroulent en Égypte, le propriétaire dégoûtant (Si Khalil) refuse de réparer sa maison décrépite et réclame, pourtant, le loyer chaque mois. Les locataires, des gens privés de destin, n'osent pas affronter cet homme odieux. Seul Abdel Al, un locataire sage passant pour un prophète, commence à sensibiliser ses voisins et à les convaincre par ses raisonnements de l'idée suivante: la solidarité est l'unique moyen qui pourrait les aider à triompher de Si Khalil. Notre problématique consiste alors à étudier le signe dans le texte de Cossery, selon la théorie de Todorov. Grâce à une étude approfondie de l'espace, nous serons avisés de l'ampleur de la misère qui touche les locataires de la maison. Nous rencontrerons aussi une série de personnages dont chacun symbolise une idée. Quant à la méthode employée, elle résulte d'une double opération: «analytique» et «dialectique». La première approche consiste à étudier le cadre spatio-temporel (la venelle des Sept Filles, puis la maison où se déroulent les événements du roman). Quant à l'approche dialectique, elle nous permet d'évoquer une thèse qui réside dans l'impuissance des locataires à affronter le propriétaire, à cause de leur égoïsme, de leur inconscience et de leur dissidence, puis nous la réfuterons en évoquant son antithèse qui consiste dans l'étude du rôle d'Abdel Al, cet homme sage qui s'avère prêt à rassembler tous ces locataires sous sa direction pour lutter contre l'injustice. Nous terminerons notre étude en disant que tout a une valeur symbolique dans le texte de Cossery. Si certains personnages renvoient à la corruption morale, d'autres symbolisent la sagesse et la raison nécessaires à la restauration de la justice sociale. En outre, nous prouverons que toute idée abstraite doit être traduite par un élément concret: un objet, un personnage, une injure, un acte etc. Ces signes employés ne servent qu'à approfondir l'esprit critique du lecteur dont le rôle sera d'appliquer sa raison pour déchiffrer le message codé du texte littéraire.
