المستخلص: لا يَشُكُ أَحدٌ أَنَّ علم الحديث قد نهل من علم التاريخ مَنْهلًا حتى أحاط به إحاطة القلادة بالعنق؛ وذلك لأن شهادة التاريخ لا يماثلها ولا يدانيها شهادة؛ بل هي من أقوي المرجحات عند الاختلاف في ثبوت المرويات، وهذه الدراسة الجديدة في مقطعها ونهايتها، القديمة في مشربها وأصالتها، فهي تبحث في طريقة استخدام نقاد الحديث أداة التاريخ في نقد المتون، وبيان الراجح منها بالقرائن التَّاريخية المعتبرة لدي المحدثين والمؤرخين على السواء، وحدد نطاق البحث سبع محاور لبيان مَدي ارتباط النقد عند المحدثين بالتاريخ؛ وذلك بالحياد العلمي الرصين، وللكشف عن المعايير الصارمة عند المحدثين، ويتضمن البحث تعريف المصطلحات المستخدمة فيه، وبيان أنواع نقد المتون عند المحدثين، والعلاقة بين نقاد الحديث والمؤرخين، وإبراز مواطن الاتفاق والاختلاف بينهما، إلى جانب مجموعة من النماذج والأمثلة التي تثبت أصالة أداة التاريخ في نقد متون عند المحدثين، وبيان فوائدها وأهميتها، وأهم النتائج والتوصيات.

Undoubtedly, Hadith has substantially benefited from history to the extent that history has become entangled with Hadith since the testimony of history is unparalleled. In addition, the testimony of history is more preponderant in proofing the series of narrations especially in case of disagreement. This innovative and original research investigates the methodology by which critics of Hadith used history to criticize the main texts of Hadith. Such methodology investigates the preponderant narrations based upon historical clues approved by both historians and scholars of Hadith. Accordingly, this research has specified seven axes to show how scholars of Hadith linked criticism to history by means of unruffled scientific neutrality releasing the strict criteria utilized by scholars of Hadith. Moreover, the research includes definitions of the concepts involved in the study as well as an exposition of the various types of criticism employed by Hadith scholars. Besides, the research has handled the relationship between the critics of Hadith and the historians emphasizing the aspects around which they agreed or disagreed. In addition, the research introduces a collection of models and examples which stress the originality of history as a means proposed by scholars of Hadith for criticizing the texts of Hadith showing their benefits and importance. Finally, the research concludes with the most important findings and recommendations.
