علم السلامة والصحة هو قديماً الأمن الصناعي وهو بث الطمأنينة وتأمين المكان من كافة المخاطر وفي العصر الحديث فقد اتسع التعريف بأنه العلم الذي يهتم بالحفاظ على سلامة وصحة الإنسان وذلك بتوفير بيئة خالية من مسببات الحوادث أو الإصابات أو الأمراض المهنية ونتيجة التطور التقني السريع على الإنسان وما يشهده عالمنا المعاصر من تطور في كل مجالات التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والتعليمية التي تسهم في راحة وطمأنينة ورفاهية الفرد أصبح والأمن والسلامة قمة احتياجات أفراد المجتمع لتحقيق الحماية لهم ولممتلكاتهم وأكد على ضرورة توسعه البحث العلمي في مجال الأمن والسلامة داخل المؤسسات التعليمية نظراً لندرة الدراسات في هذا الأمر ومدى أهميته وليست الأندية الرياضية بصفة عامة وأندية المبارزة بصفة خاصة بما تحويه من أقسام مختلفة بعيدة عن تلك المخاطر لذلك سعي الباحث لدراسة مدى توافر عناصر الأمن والسلامة بأندية المبارزة في مصر ومدى توافقها مع الاتجاهات والتطور العالمي وطبق الباحث تلك الدراسة على عدد خمسة أندية من أكبر اندية المبارزة بمصر وتوصل الباحث إلى عدم ملائمة نظام السلامة والصحة المهنية لما هو مطلوب حيث وجد أن معظم مؤشرات قياس منظومة الأمن والسلامة في الأندية عينة البحث لا تنطبق بدرجة كبيرة وهو ما يوجب علينا في ضوء ذلك ضرورة اهتمام مالس الإدارة بنظام الأمن والسلامة وتعيين جهاز متخصص مسئول عن تحقيق الأمن والسلامة وتوفير كل الدعم اللازم لتحقيق برنامج الأمن والسلامة وما يحتاج من إمكانات.

Sports clubs in general and fencing clubs in particular are not in particular with what they contain from different departments far from those risks. Therefore, the researcher sought to study the availability of elements Security and safety in fencing clubs in Egypt and their compatibility with global trends and development. The researcher applied that study to five clubs from the largest fencing clubs in Egypt. The researcher concluded that the occupational safety and health system does not suit what is required, as he found that most of the indicators for measuring the security and safety system in the clubs, the research sample is not applicable to a large extent, which requires us in light of that the need for management boards to pay attention to the security and safety system and to appoint a specialized body responsible for achieving security and safety. And providing all the necessary support to realize the security and safety program and the capabilities it needs.
