المستخلص: تهتم المنظمات الخاصة والحكومية الناجحة بعملية اختيار الموارد البشرية باعتبارها عملية حاسمة في حياة المنظمة ونموها، وفي حياة الأفراد وتطورهم أيضا، إذ إنها مرحلة كشف عن مؤهلات الأفراد المتقدمين للعمل، ويمكن من خلال عملية اختيار الموارد البشرية انتهاج استراتيجية تركز مباشرة على الجوانب الإيجابية في الفرد التي يمكن استثمارها مستقبلا لرفع كفاءة المنظمة وتحقيق أهدافها. وتمثلت وحدة المعاينة في الدراسة الحالية بجميع العاملين في قسم التمريض في مستشفى الأردن، وتم تطوير استبانة تحتوي على الأسئلة التي تقيس أثر ممارسات اختيار الموارد البشرية في تحسين أداء العاملين. تم توزيع (300) استبانة على جميع العاملين في قسم التمريض في مستشفى الأردن، وقد تم استرجاع (172) استبانة. أظهرت النتائج وجود أثر إيجابي ذي دلالة إحصائية لممارسات اختيار الموارد البشرية (المقابلات، ومعاينة مكان العمل) في تحسين أداء العاملين. في حين لا يوجد أثر ذو دلالة إحصائية للاختبارات، والاستفسار من المراجع على تحسين أداء العاملين في قسم التمريض في مستشفى الأردن. وأظهرت أيضا النتائج وجود أثر ذي دلالة إحصائية لممارسات اختيار الموارد البشرية (الاختبارات، ومعاينة مكان العمل، والاستفسار من المراجع) على سرعة إنجاز العاملين. في حين لا يوجد أثر للمقابلات على سرعة إنجاز العاملين في قسم التمريض في مستشفى الأردن. وأوصت الدراسة بالتأكيد على الاهتمام أكثر بكافة ممارسات اختيار الموارد البشرية؛ لما لها من آثار على بعض عناصر أداء العاملين، ووضع نظام يوثق هذه الممارسات، ويتضمن معايير موضوعية بعيدة عن تدخل العوامل الشخصية.

Successful private and governmental organizations are interested in the human resource selection process. As a crucial process in life and growth of the organizations, and in the life of the individuals and their development as a stage of exposure for the candidate qualification, it is an opportunity that the organization can adopt a new strategy that focuses directly on the positive aspect of the individual which can be invested in the future to raise the efficiency of the organization and achieve its objectives. The sampling unit represents all employees in nursing department at Jordan Hospital. In order to measure impact of human resource selection practices on improving employees' performance, a questionnaire was developed and distributed to (300) employees at nursing department at Jordan Hospital. In fact only (172) questionnaires were returned. This study revealed many beneficial findings such as: - There is a statistically positive significant impact for human resource selection practices (interviews and workplace preview) on improving employees' performance at nursing department in Jordan Hospital. Whereas, there is no significant impact for tests and references' enquiry on improving employees' performance at nursing department in Jordan Hospital. - The study revealed that there is a statistically positive significant impact for human resource selection practices (tests, workplace preview and references' enquiry) on employees' performance at nursing department in Jordan Hospital. Whereas, there is no significant impact for interviews on nurse's achievement speed. - The study recommended emphasizing more interest to be payed to human resource selection process' phases. And to develop a system that documents all selection practices at nursing department, and containing objective criteria away from the intervention of personal factors.
