|d Nous avons constaté que Volney n'a pas été suffisamment étudié malgré l'importance des renseignements contenus dans son Voyage en Egypte. C'est la cause pour laquelle, une étude et une mise en valeur de la situation de la politique de la vie sociale et des différentes crises se révèlent importantes puisqu’elles jettent la lumière sur une période intéressante de l'histoire de l'Egypte à l'époque des Mamelouks qui gouvernaient le pays quelques années avant la campagne française effectuée par Napoléon.\nEn effet, le Voyageur a concentré tout son effort à montrer les aspects les plus sombres de la vie en Egypte. Volney a omis aussi de décrire les monuments : il n'a pas décrit l'Egypte Romaine, Copte ou Musulmane. En effet, on le prend plutôt pour un critique qui concentre ses efforts sur les aspects négatifs.\nPar contre son Voyage en Syrie est plus optimiste, intéressant et plus riche que celui de l'Egypte. C'est en Syrie que le Voyageur a pu bien comprendre l'esprit de la vie orientale.\n

|f We have found that Volney has not been sufficiently studied despite the importance of the information contained in his Voyage to Egypt. This is the cause for which, a study and an enhancement of the situation of the politics of social life and the various crises are important since they throw light on an interesting period in the history of Egypt, at the time of the Mamluks who ruled the country a few years before the French campaign carried out by Napoleon.\nIndeed, the Traveler has concentrated all his effort on showing the darker aspects of life in Egypt. Volney also failed to describe the monuments: he did not describe Roman, Coptic or Muslim Egypt. Indeed, he is taken more for a critic who focuses his efforts on the negative aspects.\nOn the other hand, his trip to Syria is more optimistic, interesting and richer than that of Egypt.
