|f This study focuses on the French campaign, its causes, effects, and the confluence of two completely different cultures through the novel "the turban and hat" by Sonollah Ibrahim and the "the campaign of Egypt" by Daniel Sabatier. The study is a meeting point between historical narrative and comparative literature. Its importance comes from our selection of these two contemporary novels and two works belonging to the historical novel that restores the past, mixing the novel, which has its own rules of history, which is characterized by its methodology and rigor. Convinced that the novel is a partial picture of history, the two novelists insisted on certain events. Sabatier dealt with Egypt's campaign since the army left Toulon, while the "turban and hat" began as the French arrived in Cairo. The writers pointed out that the Egyptian people received a civilized shock during the campaign. If Egypt's campaign failed militarily, it succeeded in breaking the restrictions formulated by the Moghuls.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2020

|d Cette étude met l’accent sur l’expédition française, ses causes et ses effets, ainsi que sur la rencontre de deux cultures tout à fait différentes, à travers Turbans et Chapeaux de Sonallah Ibrahim et L’expédition d’Égypte, une chronique singulière de Daniel Sabatier. Elle est conçue comme un Carrefour où se côtoient le roman historique et la littérature comparée. Son intérêt remonte à notre choix de ces deux romanciers contemporains et leurs deux ouvrages qui font partie du roman historique. Persuadés que le roman est une image partielle de l’Histoire, les deux romanciers ont insisté sur certains événements. Sabatier a traité l’expédition d’Égypte dès l’embarquement de l’armée à Toulon, alors que Turbans et chapeaux a commencé avec l’arrivée des Français au Caire. Ils ont affirmé que le peuple égyptien a reçu un choc civilisateur pendant l’expédition. Si l’expédition d’Égypte a militairement échoué, elle a réussi à briser les chaînes qu’avaient forgées les Mongols.

|a تركز هذه الدراسة على الحملة الفرنسية، أسبابها وآثارها، بالإضافة إلى التقاء ثقافتين مختلفتين تماما، من خلال رواية العمامة والقبعة لصنع إبراهيم ورواية حملة مصر لدانيال ساباتييه. تعتبر الدراسة نقطة التقاء بين الرواية التاريخية والأدب المقارن وتأتي أهميتها من اختيارنا لهذين الروائيين المعاصرين ولعملين ينتميان للرواية التاريخية التي تعيد الماضي، وتخلط الرواية التي لها قواعدها الخاصة بالتاريخ الذي يتسم بمنهجه وصرامته. مقتنعان بأن الرواية هي صورة جزئية للتاريخ، أصر الروائيان على أحداث معينة. تناول ساباتييه حملة مصر منذ رحيل الجيش من طولون، بينما بدأت العمامة والقبعة مع وصول الفرنسيين إلى القاهرة. وأشار الكاتبان إلى أن الشعب المصري تلقى صدمة حضارية خلال الحملة وإذا كانت حملة مصر قد فشلت عسكريا، فإنها نجحت في كسر القيود التي صاغها المغول.
