هـدفـت هـذه الدراسـة إلى التعـرف عـلى الامكانـات السياحية الفعليـة بدولـة السـودان بصـورة عامـة، مـع الدراسة التفصيلية لتوزيعهـا بولايـة البحـر الأحمـر، وكذلك التعـرف عـلى معوقات التنمية السياحية بهـذه الولايـة، ثـم اعـداد تصـور لكيفية معالجـة هـذه العقبـات. وتكمـن أهميـة الدراسـة في أن السياحة لم تعـد نزهـة فقـط، بـل هـي اقتصـاد واستثمار وعمالـة، ولـو اسـتغلت الاستغلال الأمثـل سـيكون ذلـك عامـلًا هامـًا للنهـوض بالاقتصـاد الوطنـي. اعتمـدت هـذه الدراسـة عـلى استخدام المنهـج البنـائي المتكامـل بـشـقيه الاسـتقرائي والاستدلالي، وكان التركيـز عـلى عـدد مـن الأساليب منهـا: الأصـولي لدراسـة المقومات الطبيعيـة والبشريـة التـي تؤثـر عـلى صناعة السياحة، والإقليمي لتوضيح الاطار الاقليمـي للسياحة كتوزيع الجـواذب السياحية بمنطقـة البحـر الأحمـر، والمنهـج التحليـلي الاحصـائي؛ لتوضيـح أسـباب ازديـاد ونقصـان عـدد السياح بالولايـة، إضافة لاستخدام برنامج نظم المعلومات الجغرافيـة Arc GIS في صنـع بعـض الخرائـط. وصلت الدراسة إلى عـدة نتائـج مـن أهمهـا: توافـر الامكانات السياحية بالسودان بصـورة عامـة وبمنطقـة الدراسـة بصـور خاصـة، رغـم أنـهـا لم تصـل للمستوى المطلـوب مـن الاستغلال بسبب كثير من المعوقات أهمهـا ضـعـف التنمية بالمنطقة. وخلصت الدراسة إلى جملـة مـن التوصيات أهمها: الاهتمام بالبنى التحتيـة بمنطقة الدراسـة ونـشر الوعـي السياحي بين السكان، وحـث المسـؤولين عـلى وضـع السياحة عـلى سـلم الأولويات.
Title of the Study: Potential of Tourism in Red Sea - Sudan Dr.Bedor Idris Ahmed Fadlalla- Assistant professor of Economic Geography in the Faculty of Education for Teachers of Basic Level, Alzaeim Alazhari University. The objective of this research was to investigating the actual potentials of tourism in Sudan generally with the possibilities of tourism activities and their spatial distribution in the Red Sea State. In addition to identifying the obstacles that hinder the development of entertainment and tourism sector in the study area. Moreover, a reference model is to be developed attempting to overcome the obstacles. Thus, this study focused on tourism not just as entertainment, but as economic, business, and job opportunities. Moreover, tourism can change the economical status of Sudan if resources are effectively used. The study adopted a structural geographic integrated approach through its inductive and deductive methods. Special emphasis has been made on a number of approaches, especially the fundamental approach, which has been implemented to study the physical and human elements that usually influence tourism industry and associated activities, and Statistie analysis method to explain The decrease or increase of the number of tourists to the area, Art GIS software has been implemented to design some maps. The study arrived at several results the most important of which is the availability of potential tourism possibilities in the Sudan as general and the area of study in particular. However, this potential did not reach the required development level. Moreover, tourist attraetions are very weak due to the absence of optimum utilization of the available resources. The main recommendations of this study include the attention that should be given to the development of infrastructure and the raising of awareness regarding the importance of tourism among the population . furthermore officials and decision makers should put tourism as a top priority.
