المستخلص: The study reviewed the determinants and strategies of competition according to the Economic approach, then explained the importance of the transportation component in enhancing international competitiveness, in addition to identifying the most important factors affecting the demand and supply sides of the Maritime Transport sector and how balance was achieved in the Maritime Transport market, The research also analyzes some of the main determinants of the costs of maritime transport to Egypt compared to both Tunisia and Morocco by reviewing the structure of the maritime sector and the location in the global maritime transport network, the volume of seaborne trade, trade flows and imbalances in it, as well as analyzing trade facilitation indicators, which include: Cross-border trade - Trade Enablement Indicator - Logistics Performance Indicator). The study focused on indicators related to the quality and availability of infrastructure for the Maritime Transport sector. The study also provided a comparative analysis of the rates of Maritime Transport costs of some textile products to European Union countries, in addition to a study of export competitiveness of the textile categories of the products under study by reviewing the relative advantages and the relative importance to the European Union market, As the study tried to compare the results of the applied study with the results of international indicators related to trade facilitation to find out and determine if there is an agreement or conflict between them, The research concludes with a review of the efforts made by the state in the recent period to reform the Egyptian maritime transport sector and the related logistical system, this study will also develop a four-way (SWOT Analysis) for the Egyptian maritime transport sector and provide some suggested solutions to a group of major axes that are characterized by severe weakness in the level of performance.
