|b The study aims to know the most common types of marital problems in the first two years of marriage in Omani society, and the most common of these marital and the mechanisms that the spouses follow in alleviating its intensity. The study is considered a descriptive study using the comprehensive survey, data were collected through: the electronic questionnaire, which included all newlywed families of the (217), and focus group. The results of study indicated that the most common types of marital problems are social problems, followed by emotional problems. However, the most common social problems was the attention to social duties (visits, trips and friends). About the emotional problems, the expectations of the spouses in the intimate relationship are greater than the reality of living. The study also revealed many mechanisms such as the importance of dialogue.

|a تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على المشكلات الاجتماعية والعاطفية في السنتين الأوليين من الزواج في المجتمع العماني. وتعد هذه الدراسة من الدراسات الوصفية التي استخدمت فيها أداتان: الاستبيان الإلكتروني للأسر حديثة الزواج (٢١٧)، والمجموعة البؤرية (١٠) طالبات متزوجات في السنتين الأوليين من الزواج وقاطنات في الحرم الجامعي. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن أكثر المشكلات شيوعا هي المشكلات الاجتماعية والعاطفية، وأبرز المشكلات الاجتماعية الاهتمام بالزيارات والرحلات والأصدقاء، والانشغال بمتابعة برامج التواصل الاجتماعي على حساب اهتمام كل طرف بالآخر، بينما أظهرت المشكلات العاطفية أن توقعات الزوجين في العلاقة الحميمية أكبر من الواقع المعاش، وعدم تفهم الاحتياجات النفسية والعاطفية.
