المستخلص: Ancient Egyptian civilization expressed great reverence for its own past, unfortunately that did not prevent pharaohs from dismantling or quarrying the constructions of their predecessors when it suited them. On the other hand, at other times, kings claimed to have restored, renewed, completed, rebuilt the monuments of their ancestors. This paper is concerned with investigating some examples of these restorations and renewal of monuments made by the kings during the New Kingdom as a way to understand restoration activities and to reach the common formulae and terms used by the kings of the New Kingdom for restorations, and if it was standardized by them. The study starts by an introduction then it is divided into two main parts: the 1st part gives examples of restoration activities and texts made by kings in the New Kingdom organized in a chronological order, while the 2nd part discusses the formulae and terms used in the form of tables and commentary. The paper ends with a main conclusion
