المستخلص: هدف الدراسة: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تعرف نوعية حياة أفراد المجتمع في ظل ظاهرة التضخم، والأسباب والعوامل التي تؤدي إلى هذا التضخم والآثار الناتجة منه وآليات التكيف المعيشي لشرائح الطبقة الوسطى في ظل الظاهرة محل الدراسة، وانحصرت مشكلة الدراسة في تساؤل رئيس، هو: ما أبعاد نوعية الحياة لدى أفراد المجتمع المصري بعد تأثير ظاهرة التضخم؟ واستعرضت الدراسة كلا من مفهومي التضخم ونوعية الحياة بكل صورها، ومؤشراتها، ومضامينها النظرية. المنهجية: اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي واستخدمت طريقة المسح الاجتماعي، واعتمدت على أداتين، الأولى: أداة كمية تتمثل في استمارة الاستبانة، وتطبق على عينة من الطبقة الوسطى بشرائحها المختلفة، والأخرى: أداة كيفية تتمثل في دليل للمقابلة المفتوحة وتطبق على عينة محددة من ذوي الخبرة في علم الاجتماع وفروعه الاقتصادية والسياسية. النتائج: وتوصلت الدراسة إلى تلازم انخفاض مؤشرات نوعية الحياة مع ارتفاع الأسعار وزيادة معدلات التضخم، عدم قدرة الشرائح الطبقية المختلفة للطبقة الوسطى على إشباع احتياجاتها الأساسية والإنسانية وتدهور أوضاعهم الطبقية، العمل على تغيير السلوك الاستهلاكي والتعامل مع هذه الأزمة على أنها حالة استثنائية يمر بها المجتمع المصري، بالإضافة إلى وجود حالة من الإحباط وقلة الطموح نتيجة للظروف الاقتصادية الحالية.

Objective: The study aimed at identifying the quality of life of community members in light of the phenomenon of inflation as well as the causes and factors that led to this inflation and its effects and the mechanisms of living adaptation of the middle class in light of the phenomenon under study. The case study focused on a major question concerning the dimensions of the quality of life in the Egyptian society following the impact of inflation. The study reviewed the concept of inflation and the quality of life in all its forms, indicators and theoretical content. Methodology: the study implemented the descriptive approach and used the method of social survey depending on two main tools: the first was quantitative and it was represented by a questionnaire form applied to a sample of some middle class strata. The second was a qualitative one, and it was represented by a guide of in-depth interviews conducted among a specific sample of experts in sociology with its economic and political branches. Conclusion: the study offered a set of recommendations including the need to provide channels of social protection, and to provide both cash and in-kind benefits in an attempt to absorb the disparity among class strata and to improve the quality of life.
