المستخلص: يعتبر تاريخ الجزائر حافلا بالشخصيات الوطنية الثورية البارزة التي حملت على عاتقها مسؤولية كتابة تاريخ الجزائر في صورته الحقيقية وبكل موضوعية ومجابهة الاستعمار الفرنسي من جهة أخرى، ويعد فرحات عباس من أهم الشخصيات البارزة في تاريخ الجزائر والتي أثير حولها النقاش وكثر الجدل، فقد أسس فرحات عباس لفكر سياسي جزائري وجسد تيارا عاما أثر في تاريخ الجزائر، كما تطرق إلى العديد من المسائل التاريخية وساهم في بلورة أيديولوجية اللبراليين، كما كانت له رؤية خاصة لمسألة الوطنية الجزائرية كفكرة تنطلق من بحثه الذي أجراه حول الذات الجزائرية المفقودة ومحاولة إثباتها في ظل النظام الاستعماري، حيث طور من فكره بعدما كان مطالبا بالإدماج مع فرنسا إلى المطالبة بالانفصال عنها. جمعت شخصية فرحات عباس بين الحنكة السياسية والفصاحة إلى الثقافة في مختلف العلوم. ترك فرحات عباس بصمته في كتابة تاريخ الجزائر وذلك من خلال مذكراته التي كتبها ومن أبرزها كتاب "ليل الاستعمار" وهو عبارة عن مذكرات وإعادة في قراءة لتاريخ الجزائر، حيث تناول فيه أهم مراحل نضاله السياسي خلال مرحلة الاحتلال والثورة التحريرية، إضافة إلى كتابه "تشريح حرب" وكتاب "الشاب الجزائري" الذي يمثل سجالا لنضال فرحات عباس في الحرب، كذلك مقالاته التي جمعها والتي تعبر عن تصوراته للقضية الوطنية ومنها مقال "فرنسا هي أنا".

The history of Algeria is replete with prominent revolutionary national figures who have taken on the responsibility of writing the history of Algeria in its true form and with all objectivity and confronting French colonialism on the other hand, and Farhat Abbas is one of the most prominent personalities in the history of Algeria, which has aroused debate and much controversy . Farhat Abbas established an Algerian political thought and embodied a general trend that influenced the history of Algeria. He also touched on many historical issues and contributed to crystallizing the ideology of the liberals. The colonial system, where he developed his idea after he was required to integrate with France to demand separation from it. The character of Farhat Abbas combined political skill and eloquence to culture in various sciences. Farhat Abbas left his imprint in writing the history of Algeria, through his memoirs, which he wrote, most notably the book "The Night of Colonialism," which is a memoir and a re-reading of the history of Algeria, in which he dealt with the most important stages of his political struggle during the period of the occupation and the liberation revolution. In addition to his book "Anatomy of War" and the book "The Young Algerian", which represents a record of the struggle of Farhat Abbas in the war, as well as his articles that he collected and which express his views on the national cause, including the article "France is me"
