The researcher attempts to find an explanation of the words and phrases used by Catullus in his attack them expressed their nature. In addition, the study highlights the social status, relationship with him and how they corrupted his social or emotional life. Thus, the researcher attempts to find an explanation and semantic meanings of these words in his invective of politicians at the time. Catullus was a patriot and jealous of his homeland, customs, and morals of the romans. Sometimes, he attacked those who corrupted the roman political or social life. Therefore, the invective was addressed to all characters who had a prominent role in the political, social, and literary life, as well as those who transcended the moral boundaries, traditional, customs and strong principles of the state and the roman society. Hence, it is possible to say the invective of Catullus was aimed at expressing what was going on in his inner self, and to warn his own people of the danger of the unwise policies of military leaders and the ruling class, the invective was intended for people who to violate to the traditions of the roman society. In addition, the poet doubled the meaning and the semantics of his characters or addresses, some of which were mostly inspired by the poet's imagination. Perhaps it was because of the oppression and abuse of the political figures. Catullus used phrases and words that express the corruption of the political characters or the political and administrative systems in that turbulent period in the history of the roman republic. We also found out that creativity and exclusivity of Catullus in the use of new meanings and vocabularies. Which express Catullus great awareness of the personal errors of romans, which he believed were the cause of the collapse and destruction of the roman state.
