المستخلص: لقد أصبح من الصعب بل من المستحيل اليوم الانطواء على النفس وعدم المبالات بما يحدث في العالم من التطورات السريعة المتلاحقة في عصر عرف بعصر (اقتصاد المعرفة: Knowledge Economy) بانفجاره المعرفي وثورته الهائلة في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصال ووسائل التعامل معها، وبغرض مجاراة الآخر المتطور واللحاق به ومواكبة ما يحصل حولنا من التطورات العالمية، لا سبيل أمامنا إلا أن نولي الأهمية الكاملة إلى بناء الإنسان الواعي المبدع القادر على الابتكار والتطوير والتعامل مع المعارف الجديدة والاستفادة منها لمواجهة تحديات المستقبل ومتطلبات العولمة، بل للإسهام في بناء هذا المستقبل والتأثر فيه بدلا من أن نكون مجرد متلقين سلبين لأحداثه وتحولاته.

It has become difficult, even impossible today, to be introverted and not care about the rapid developments in the world in an era known as the Knowledge Economy by its cognitive explosion and its immense revolution in the field of information and communication technologies and the means of dealing with it. In order to keep pace and catch up with the latest development and keep abreast of the global developments around us, we can only attach full importance to building a conscious and creative human being capable of innovating and developing, dealing with new knowledge, and benefiting from it to confront the challenges of the future and the demands of globalization but rather to contribute to building this future and influence it rather than being just passive recipients of its developments and transformations.
