المستخلص: قضية الترادف من القضايا الخلافية في اللغة، تباينت أراء الباحثين والدارسين قديما وحديثا حولها. ويهدف هذا البحث إلى إلقاء الضوء على واحد من أسباب نشوء الترادف في اللغة، وهو: طريقة العرب في تسمية الأشياء، ونزوعهم إلى إطلاق أكثر من اسم للمسمى الواحد. وفي توضيح هذا السبب وإلقاء الضوء عليه؛ ما يساعد في فهم الخلاف، وإدراك وجهات النظر المختلفة فيه. ومن المواضيع التي استلزم الموضوع بحثها: التعريف بالاسم والمسمى والتسمية، وكيف يرتبط الاسم بالمسمى، مع بيان شأن التسمية عند العرب. يتبع ذلك الحديث عن تاريخ نشوء المصطلح، وعرض الخلاف في القضية، وتوضيح موقف كل فريق، ومحاولة الجمع بين الآراء. ثم يأتي بعد ذلك توضيح أثر التسمية في نشوء الترادف اللغوي. وأخيرا الحديث عن حاجة اللغة إلى وجود الألفاظ المترادفة. وتبين بعد الدراسة: وضوح دور التسمية في نشوء الترادف. وأن الألفاظ المترادفة ترتبط بالمسمى لا بالمعنى الدلالي للفظ المرادف، ويظهر هذا الارتباط من خلال الاستعمال اللغوي، حين يتجاهل المتكلم الفروق الدلالية في الاستعمال اللغوي ما لم تكن لها حاجة، فيستعمل الألفاظ المترادفة كأنها كلها بنفس المعنى، وإن الخلاف بين العلماء في هذه القضية قديما كان خلافا حول بعض صور الترادف وليس على وقوع الترادف في اللغة.

The issue of synonymity is one of the controversial issues in the language. Researchers and scholars have differed opinions about it, in the past and present. This research aims to shed light on one of the reasons for the emergence of synonymy in language, which is: the way of the Arabs in naming things, and their tendency to give more than one name to the same name. In explaining and shedding light on this reason; This helps in understanding the disagreement and being aware of the different points of view in it. Among the topics that necessitated discussion of the topic: definition of the name, the nomenclature and nomenclature, and how the name relates to the named, with an explanation of the importance of naming among the Arabs. This is followed by talking about the history of the origin of the term, presenting the disagreement in the case, clarifying the position of each team, and trying to combine opinions. Then comes an explanation of the effect of naming on the development of synonymy. Finally, talk about the need for language to have synonyms. After the study, it became evident: the clarity of the role of the nomenclature in the emergence of the synonym. And that the synonymous expressions are related to the noun, not to the semantic meaning of the synonymous word, and this link appears through the linguistic use, when the speaker ignores semantic differences in linguistic usage unless they are needed, and then uses the synonymous words as if they are all in the same meaning, and the disagreement between scholars on this issue in the past was a dispute. About some forms of synonymity and not on the occurrence of synonymity in the language.
