المستخلص: هذا البحث يتناول ظاهرة غير خافية على المطلع على كتب التراث، وهي: (الرجوع عن القول)، بأن يعدل العالم في مسألة ما إلى خلاف قوله؛ لدليل أقوى وسالم من المعارضة، أو ينتهي إلى التوقف. وينصرف موضوع البحث بالقصد إلى مدونات أصول الفقه خاصة، وقد انتظم الكلام فيه على قسمين: تأصيلي يضم: التعريف به، وبأمثلته، وأسبابه، وحكمه، وآثاره. وأخر تطبيقي على جملة من النماذج الأصولية، وذلك وفق المنهج العلمي المتبع. وقد أظهر أن للرجوع أسباباً، وآثاراً على التخريج الفقهي والأصولي، والترجيح بين أقوال إمام المذهب، وعلى المجتهدين والمقلدين، وتدوين أقوالهم في المصنفات. وقد خلصنا منه إلى أنه لم تسلم طريقة معتبرة في التأصيل والتفريغ من الأقوال المرجوع عنها، وأن جلة الأئمة قد عرفوا بتحري الحق، ومراجعة الصواب، وأن قدراً لا بأس به من الأقوال المرجوع عنها قد حفظته لنا مطولات العلم، وثمة قدر أخر يوقف عليه من خلال التتبع لتواريخ المقالات ومراحل التصنيف.

This research paper deals with a phenomenon well-known for people cognizant with classical books, namely revoking or reconsidering one's view. It means that a scholar modifies his opinion about a certain issue by adopting an opinion contrary to his own initial view due to the existence of a substantial irrefutable evidence or by abandoning his older view. The topic of this study is related to the writings of fundamentals of jurisprudence in particular. This research paper is organized into two parts. The first part is an authenticating section that includes a definition of revoking one's view, its examples, causes, ruling, and effects. The second is an applied section concerned with analyzing a number of fundamental models according to the scientific approach used. It has been shown that revoking one's view has its own reasons and effects on the interpretation of jurisprudence and its fundamentals, on grading the views of the Imam of the school of thought, on the mujtahidūn (scholars of independent reasoning) and the imitators, and on recording their sayings in their works. It has concluded that revoking one's view is attested in every significant method of authentication or research topic. The majority of the Imams are known for scrutinizing facts and revising views. A great deal of reconsidered views has been preserved for us in lengthy volumes of knowledge. Nevertheless, a considerable amount of reconsidered views can be obtained through tracing back the chronological order of articles and stages of authorship.
