This research is concerned with a study of the values and aesthetics of the icon in Christian art. The current research problem has focused on finding a research vision that contrasts with facts the Christian iconographic drawings of a religious nature. The products of Christian art attracted the cognitive and religious visions of the visual evidence of the icon and documented the themes of Christ and the Virgin, as a model through which we investigate the images of icons, the idea of moving from the sensory level to the intuitive level so that they become perfect ideas that obtain the construction of the artistic image or are carried on it. It is a true disclosure of the hidden knowledge that is read in a religious framework as seen by Christianity. In this next research, the researcher reviews Coptic art and Coptic icons in Egypt by presenting the emergence of Coptic art and the features that distinguish it and the historical background of Coptic icons, explaining the aesthetic and philosophical values and previous forms of icon art and the emergence of the Christian icon, then it categorizes the types of Coptic icons and the artistic techniques used in the work of Coptic icons, reviewing the materials used, the steps of making the icon. It is possible to add new introductions that provoke the study of Coptic icons and identify the traditions and variables that affected the design of Coptic icons and add a new balance to the study and analysis of icon design. يعنى هذا البحث بدراسة بقيم وجماليات الأيقونة في الفن المسيحي، وقد تركزت مشكلة البحث الحالي على إيجاد رؤية بحثية تتنافذ مع معطيات الرسوم الأيقونية المسيحية، ذات الطابع الديني، وقد كانت نتاجات الفن المسيحي تستقطب الرؤى المعرفية والدينية للشواهد البصرية الخاصة بالأيقونة، وثقت موضوعات السيد المسيح والسيدة العذراء، باعتبارهما نموذجاً نتقصى من خلاله صور الأيقونات فكرة الانتقال من المستوى الحسي إلى المستوى الحدسي، فتصبح الأفكار المثالية التي تنال بناء الصورة الفنية أو تكون محمولة عليها، بمثابة إفصاح حقيقي عن مكنونات المعرفة التي تقرأ في إطار ديني حسبما تراه الديانة المسيحية. وتستعرض الباحثة في هذا البحث التالي، الفن القبطي والأيقونات القبطية في مصر وذلك بعرض نشأة الفن القبطي والسمات التي تميز بها والخلفية التاريخية للأيقونات القبطية موضحاً القيم الجمالية والفلسفية والأشكال السابقة لفن الأيقونة ونشأة الأيقونة المسيحية، ثم تقوم بتصنيف أنواع الأيقونات القبطية. والتقنيات الفنية المستخدمة في عمل الأيقونات القبطية مستعرضاً للخامات المستخدمة خطوات عمل الأيقونة. حيث إنه يمكن إضافة مداخل جديدة تثير دراسة الأيقونات القبطية والوقوف على التقاليد والمتغيرات التي أثرت على تصميم الأيقونات القبطية وإضافة رصيد جديد لدراسة، وتحليل تصميم الأيقونات.
