المستخلص: تبحث هذه الدراسة ظاهرة الإرهاب في منطقة من أهم مناطق العالم ضعفا من الناحية الجيوسياسية، وهي دول الشرق الأوسط، ولأن ظاهرة الإرهاب مرتبطة بالأمن القومي للدول، الذي يعني شعور المواطن بالأمن، والتحرر من الخطر، وقدرة الدولة على البقاء والمحافظة على قيمتها وقوتها مع استمرار النمو والتقدم، لذلك كان البحث في التحليل المكاني للحوادث الإرهابية بمنطقة الشرق الأوسط موضوعا حيويا من أجل أمن المنطقة واستقرارها، وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى تقسيم الإرهاب في منطقة الشرق الأوسط إلى أربع فترات مميزة للإرهاب منذ عام 1970حتى عام ٢٠١٨م، وقد اتضح أن الإرهاب ظاهرة تصاعدية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط تتزايد مع مرور الوقت، الأمر الذي يستدعي من المجتمع الدولي الوقوف يدا واحدة من أجل محاربته لأنه لا تقل خطورته عن الحرب، وتم تحديد أماكن الحوادث الإرهابية في الأربع فترات في كل دولة، ونوع الأسلحة المستخدمة في كل دولة، وفشل العمليات الإرهابية ونجاحها، والوقت الذي استغرقته كل عملية إرهابية، وعدد الضحايا التي سببتها تلك العمليات، كذلك تم تحديد خريطة الخطورة الإرهابية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، ومناطق النقاط الساخنة التي يجب على كل دولة إحكام سيطرتها عليها، واتجاه توزيع الإرهاب، وبعض التحليلات الإحصائية المكانية التي من شأنها أن تساعد متخذي القرار في حربهم على الإرهاب مستعينا بنظم المعلومات الجغرافية (GIS).

This study examines the phenomenon of terrorism in one of the most important regions of the world that is geopolitically weak, which is the countries of the Middle East, and because the phenomenon of terrorism is linked to the national security of countries, which means the citizen’s feeling of security, freedom from danger, and the state’s ability to survive and preserve its value and strength while continuing to grow and progress, so research on the spatial analysis of terrorist incidents in the Middle East region was a vital topic for the security and stability of the region, the current study concluded terrorism in the Middle East region by dividing it into four distinct periods of terrorism from 1970 until 2018; It has become clear that terrorism is an escalating phenomenon in the Middle East region, which has increased with the passage of time, which requires the international community to stand together in order to fight it because it is no less dangerous than war, and the locations of terrorist incidents have been determined in the four periods in each country, and the type of weapons used in Each country, the failure and success of terrorist operations, the time that each terrorist operation took, and the number of victims caused by those operations, as well as the map of terrorist danger in the Middle East region, the hotspot areas over which each country must tighten its control, the direction of the distribution of terrorism, and some Spatial statistical analyses that would assist decision-makers in their war on terror using geographic information systems (GIS).
